I always wanted to see Nabudis before it was destroyed. You hear a lot about it but no image or movie shows the city in its former splendour. My favourite locations are cities such as Archades and I would have greatly liked to have seen Nabudis in all its grandeur...

I feel they could of done this in a flashback and was quite disapointed to realise there would be no chance to see the nabreus deadlands in full bloom or the activity once present in these thriving communities or perhaps a restoration of this area...

Anyone else feel this missing element?

I wanted to see Nabudis in all its former glory as well, but I don't know if it's really necessary to show it in flashbacks or whatever. However, I do hope they'll make more games that take place in Ivalice. Maybe we'll get to see some other locations as well.

I felt that way too. The Necrohol looks like it must once have been a pretty sweet place to live. Y'know, without the destruction, the Mist and the Baknamy.

Also, vaguely related to this, anyone know anything tangible about the Republic of Landis? I know it's Basch and Gabranth's homeland, and it's mentioned a bit in the game, but I don't actually know what happened to it or anything significant about its history.

Maybe they should do a prequel set in Republic of Landis leading up to the events of FF XII with a restored Nabudis. You could play as Gabranth and explore the relationship between the brothers before they split alliances...as long as they keep Ivalice but from a trailer I've seen of FF XIII I'm guessing its not set there...:(

I really wish they would make a prequel... I really felt sad whenever I went to the Necrohol, especially with the music and the scenery and the overflow of mist... Unfortunately, the necrohol doesn't even give any glimpse of how Nabudis really was... I think I read somewhere that the Necrohol was a king's palace... of sorts...

Am I right in saying that it was Reddas who destroyed Nabudis or have I completely confused myself? It was so long ago since I played that section of the story I can't remember...

I believe that Reddas directed the assault onto Nabudis, however the intention to do so rested within Dr. Cid's desire to see the ability that nethicite had when its power was tapped and exploited, if those words could accurately sum it up.

I just want to see the rest of Ivalice - Rozarria, anyone?

I really don't see this adding anything to the game at all.

I was always surprised that Rozarria was made out to be a key region to the story but not a region in the actual game, especially after going out of their way to introduce Al-Cid.

I was expecting to go Rozarria after Archades and was surprised that its completely left out...maybe it will be used in another game...

I think the reason Rozarria was left out was because the game focused on Ashe and Dalmasca. It wasn't a "heros-must-save-the-world" plot involving dungeons in the 4 corners of the planet (or whatever); but rather, one that focused on a a single small nation's right to sovereignty and self-determination. Imagine Princess Ashe wearing a t-shirt bearing the slogan "Don't tread on me," making her getaway aboard the Strahl, bearing bumper stickers reading "Free Tibet."

The political side to the story definitely has a libertarian feel to it, imho. ("Liberal" or "Classical Liberal" to our European friends).
