Malboros in Esthar and on Islands Closest to Heaven/Hell.

I don't know about Abyss Worms actually, I've played through the game twice and I'm sure they're at SOME point early on the map considering the level of their card, but I don't remember seeing them anywhere but the Castle which has every monster in the game.

Abyss Worm at Desert Prison, I think. I aslo found it at Kashabalk (sp?) Desert (near Cactuar Island).

Hey, here's an interesting "fact"

On disc 2, you can technically get to Cactaur Island by walking through Kashkabald Desert to the furthest point closest to the island.

If you go to your menu, you'll notice that it says you're in "Cactaur Island"

If you run around in that area, you'll find that all random encounters are cactaurs, just as if you were on the island itself. Too bad you can't fight the Jumbo Cactuar though.

It's still a great place to learn skills quickly and to get Cactus Thorns for Demolition ammo (40 per thorn!) Great for killing tonberries!

That's what I did once Garden became mobile, ;).

Yea! I was like...I wish I could go to that island...

and then I got into a random encounter...and it was a cactaur!

Right now I'm going through the tricky process of using Quistis' Bad Breath to put the whole party to sleep while I card each of them. It's tough.

That actually works? I have to go back to the island anyway, so Doomtrain can learn its abilities. I might as well try that.

Yea, just put quistis on initiative, and it works like a charm.

The hard part (if you're doing the no-level) is using micromissile on the whole lot, then carding them before they wake up.

If you're not doing no-level up, then you'll be able to kill them super quick.

Also, sometimes bad breath petrifies, which is stupid because you get nothing!

That's a really interesting tactic for gaining character cards if it does indeed work.

And if you're worried about petrifying everyone, you can junction 100 Break spells to their stat-junct. Additionally, you can use auto-haste on quistis so she can to use micro-missiles more times.

Thanks for the tips, Noob & Olde.

Ah, I guess I didn't specify enough.
I was talking about petrifying the cactaurs when I use bad breath on a group of them. But the auto-haste idea is a good one.

Ah, okay. Makes a lot more sense now.

Wow I never knew about that. Seems strange how they let you do that. Possibly a design flaw?

Probably a design flaw, like you said.

Nonetheless, a design flaw great for people who want to quickly learn GF abilities.
