If it's just the EXE file, you could copy it over from your XP game to the one on your VISTA where FF8 is installed?

Your first step to fixing the problem is... remove Vista.

Windows XP costs more than Vista does (the software I mean). Many people who have purchased Vista's are switching back to XP. If you have an old XP, I'd just install that to the Vista. That way, right when the computer boots up, you can choose to run either XP or Vista.

Right now, I can choose to either run Windows 95 or XP.

Windows 3.11 was the best. Ever.

DOS is a close second.

Yes, I love using DOS. Took a class in it (and is how I learned to equip different OS's on my computer). Never used 3.11 before (first one I did use was 95 when I started using a computer).

If you want to buy XP, you better hurry up! Microsoft is taking it off the shelves pretty soon. For some strange reason, they're deciding to actually start pushing Vista on people. How stupid of them!

Death for Vista!

Vista is the most un-comprehensive, most stupid OS ever made. It should install drivers easy, easy up administrator f#$k up, work with all hardware and it is supossed to be a Gaming OS (WTF OMG ?!?).
XP I use only because some games wont work on 98. 98 ruled more less. but way the best is probably still... DOS. You can do in it everything manually.
So please return the Vista to your store and say you weren't satisfied with it, as it wont work as it presumes.
I read on the internet that Bill Gates said that Vista is the OS tat is least pirated . Explanation found on the net: "Its beacuse even the pirates won't use Vista!"

I hear XP ultimate is the best. It's got all the functionality of XP with the prettiness of Vista. But none of the Vista bullshit.
