It has the best story, the best characters and the best gameplay. I replayed this so many times and I never get bored like a different FF game (*cough* FFXII *cough*) because of lack of a good or deep story.

FFIX is one of the best FF Games in my opinion, Good plot/Charachters. FFVI is my all time fave though.

When I think of Final Fantasy IX the first thing I think of is best game ever. It's my favorite video game and nothing beats it.

Yeah that's what I think as well, X comes close but IX is perfect.
