I own all the of the games "Although I am buying a new copy of 8 this summer due to a small scratch (tear)" and I have talked my girl friend into sitting down and playing her way though one. I am wondering from you guys which you would recommend for a new rpg player as this will be her first full rpg.
For each game I would like a small summery of the storyline style cuz it's hard for me to remember it all (no spoilers please obviously) also your personal preference on how fast a person gets drawn into the storyline.
FF7: Cloud is the main character who is an Ex solder. He ends up fighting the main corporation that he was working for and it turns into a very complex save the world story with many twists.
Personally for me the game starts slow until about 10 hours in.
FF8: I remember very little of this game (once I buy it I am replaying it) essentially it is a long love story with and interesting battle system that is unique from most games in the fact that leveling up doesn't help really.
I got into this game quickly but due to my young age at the time of playing it when it first came out the boss battles were very difficult but that will be less of an issue now.
FF9: Probably my least favorite out of the 3 being the one I didn't finish (Playing after I beat 8) I will let someone else fill in a summery for this since I don't remember much.
Thank you to any contributions and advice on which one my girl friend should play. She has seen the graphics on all 3 of them and is very turned off by 7's graphics but I still figured I would throw it in here for good measure.
