alright, now after all is said and done and Safer-Sephiroth is defeated, which was surprisingly easy by the way, The cut-scene plays....... Then Cloud, all by himself, has to battle the one and only Sephiroth. In this battle the limit bar is steadingly increasing before the battle starts and when it's my turn I obviously just use my Omni-Slash which kills Sephiroth. My question is, has anyone ever been hit by Sephiroth in this epic last battle, how much damage does it do, or is it even possible. PLUS if you set your limit to level 1 and only use Braver, will it still kill Sephiroth in one hit? AND WHY WAS IT SO EASY?!?!?
It's the FINAL BATTLE for god sake!

You can wait and he hit's you for about 2/3 of your health and Cloud automatically counter attacks for an instant kill.

It's not the final battle, it's more of a gratuitous Sephy killing. Especially if you don't have Omnislash.

So, no matter what, the first time you hit him, he dies...
A little pointless, wouldn't you say?
Square should've left all my materia on, gave Sephiroth a little more HP and let us duke it out to decide the fate of the planet.

But, the battle with Jenova-LIFE, Bizarro Sephiroth, and Safer Sephiroth decides the fate (not faith) of the planet...

As said before it was more gratuitous than anything.

And yes, no matter what. My lowest damage I gave was about 1500, since I rushed through the game that playthrough.

The sad part is that I think the Battle Scenario for the quick last one-hit battle would have made a great background for an actual epic battle than all those bright colors and fancy wings for Safer. What a waste, it could have at least been somehow longer like Yu Yevon was.

good catch (fate) *edited*

well i suppose just being able to "finish off" Sephiroth was enjoyable, but it's whatever, I would've been just fine without it. It just completely contradicts the whole story line. The Great Sephiroth! yeah, yeah, him... i killed him in one hit, pssh :-P

I read somwhere that the final Sephiroth you fight that is so easy isn't the same as the one who was a "challenge". I forget why, but it was slightly interesting.

It's 'cause he didn't have his tunic on.

Even after playing FFVII at least 10 or so times I've never even given this a try, but have always thought about it out of sheer curiosity :).

Oh geez. Play nice, kiddies. Yeah, I guess I'll close it, although it would have nice if it just could have been left to die.

For what it's worth, I think that Sephiroth can hit you, in which case, I believe that Cloud automatically counters with Ominislash and then it's over. Basically, no matter what, you can't lose.
