I'd say Montblanc and Dr. Cid.

Montblanc: You have to respect the little moogle who put together Clan Centurion. He may have created it to get back at Yiazmat, but his clan has done a lot of good for the people of Ivalice.

Dr. Cid: Maybe it's the oversized guns, maybe it's the slight edge of insanity, maybe it's just his drive to give humanity the ability to freely make their own futures. Actually, it's probably all three.

I love Montblanc - he's quite scheming but also very charming. The pompoms help. Drace, too, is a favorite, but her time is very limited.


(I admit to an overwhelming fondness for Al-Cid's poor servant/maid who never gets a chance to speak and basically serves as his eye-candy-slash-suitcase. She's always putting things away for him or fetching things for him. I wish she at least had a name.)

Dr. Cid. The maniacal laugh, the oversized guns, the fact that he really doesn't seem to care what anyone thinks of him- the man is awesome. And easily my favorite Cid of the series.

And Vayne was a very good and very believable villain.

Mostly because he was Basch's brother, but I also liked him in the end, when he tried to convince Ashe to use this revenge sword thing. ^^

I voted for Reks because he taught me how to play FFXII and because he got killed for doing what he was told, I'm not sure why that's a good trait but it is.

Now that I think about it, I want to change my answer to Montblanc. 1) He's a Moogle, and 2) he is the leader of some really powerful underground oraganization, kind of like a head mob guy.
