i have completed all the hunts up to and including the seer, and have all the espers, but montblanc is stil saying that there are no more marks available. Im led to bvelieve that he should be offering me the Yiazmat hunt? Are there any other conditions that need to be set in place to get this hunt?

I THINK beating Hell Wyrm (which is not a hunt) might actually be a condition, if you haven't done it. I don't know for sure but that's the only thing I can think of.

Yes, Hell Wyrm is a condition. Offhand, I believe there may be two other conditions -- you've completed the Pharos and you've completed certain other key Hunts.

The Hell Wyrm is in the Sochen Cave Palace.

There's actually a few conditions you need to meet:

Your clan rank has to be Knight of the Round, completed the Wyrm Philosopher quest (indeed, Hellwyrm) and defeated seven Rank VII Marks. By completing the Pharos, Agent means, having the option to enter the Bahamut.

Those Marks are:

Carrot
Gilgamesh
Deathgaze
Diabolos
Fafnir
Pylraster
Behemoth King

cheers guys, ill do that hellwyrm fight next then, but im a little confused about how to get to it. Theres a few secret areas in the socen cave i think and am not sure how to get to them. Also in the secret areas of the henne mines (that the geomancer lets you into) what is the boss at the end of the tunnel? Is that a condition also?

GameFAQs is really your friend here -- I found a really great map in one of their walkthroughs that shows exactly what direction you have to step in order to unlock the door to Hell Wyrm.


As for the other, that's an Esper, not a boss. Zodiark. Don't believe it's a condition, though you'll want to have it eventually.


P.S.: One of the reasons Hell Wyrm is required as a condition is because Hell Wyrm is basically Yiazmat lite. If you can't beat it, then you're not even close to being ready for Yiazmat. Stock up on Gold Needle and Chronos Tear and set your Gambits. But don't think just because you can beat it easily necessarily means you're ready for Yiazmat yet.

Zodiark is an esper? but i have all the espers on the abilities list but i sure i havent beat him yet... and thanx for the help i'll have a look for that map =]
