Teleport Stones. I am looking in the book and I think the guys that drop them are those little sand guys in the Yensan Sand sea? Tho I do not see them in the book. I have the Cuffs on and I started stealing but I just got pebles and potions.

I was having problems with the Esper in the Zertinan caverns So i started lv up my back up team to all lv 40. I had two main guys and 1 back up support guy in the grp so I can have people to switch out if I need to because it looks like its starting to get hard. I also wanted money and was sick of being out all the time.

What I want to do now is stop the game and go back and do as many hunts up to this point as i can so i can get better stuff. I know I am going to need alot of Teleport stones but I am not sure were the best place is to farm them. Please advise.

where abouts in the game r ya? because you can buuy teleport stones from merchants later in the game. You almost always get teleport stones as part of the bounty when you complete a hunt.

In the Sand Sea, you need to get a combo of 20 I believe. I would go to Pamneria Rift (If that is it's name...) and defeat the guys there a lot, and get a big sum of gil. I got 250,000 gil off of this (Going there and many places) and when you get to the Sky Fortress you can buy 1 for 400 gil. from the guy on the chocobo. But I ended up to lv.75 from lv. 40 (Took me all day, but it was worth it) and got that much gil. I believe that you get what they drop instead of stealing. I forgot where else to get the Teleport Stones. I think you can get Teleport Stones from many guys, and you can somtimes find it in the Eastersand and Westersand. Many have some to take, but most of them you have to get a 10 or 20 kill chain. Oh, and you can bye them when you are going to places in the ship. But, while you are in the ship, you can buy some for 400 gil. It may seem like a high price early in the game, but just lv. up a lot and get a lot of loot also. If you go to the clan, (You can go there in Rabanastre) you get Teleport Stone sometimes. All you have to do is defeat a few bosses. (Not including the Judges or any Humes, only monsters).
Yes, completing hunts get you a few, but not the best way. (In my opinion)
Now, that is all I know about how to get Teleport Stones, but I would get a few when going to places from the airship and buying some from the merchants there. You can buy some from many places. Sorry if I wasn't any help.

What super said is true. The best way to get Teleport Stones is to build up your Clan rank fast. Once you gain access to enough Hunts and it is high enough, you will be able to buy Teleport Stones from the Clan Provisioner.

Thank you 2 of my main guys are lv 50 the other is lv 40 and all my back ups are lv 30. I am just past P-rift I am right at page 160 Hike through the Highwast. Now I know were to go thanks.

On another note the ZC is droping some cool things. Iga blade and Platinum dagger O_O

I also want to ask you some chr. questions now.

I got 2 guys that have the Icebrand sword and they have heavy armor Ashe is my healer girl with the Thorned mace but she has heavy armor as well. What I am asking is what armor goes best with what weapon? Should I change her to mistic?

edit

Well the rift is not droping any of them so I am going to go back to the sand sea guys and just do it that way. I need The stones before I can start doing the quests because I am going to be moving from one place to the next so meh i can not really wait to buy them I am only high 40's

All I did was going into the marketplace in Rabanastre and buy them from some Bangaa who was selling them for about 200 to 400 gil each.

I bought every single one of my teleport stones from that Bangaa guy.

Farming them isn't really my thing.

Why do need them so badly? Progress in the story, do some of the Hunts. It's the best way to get it all worked out. You sound a lot like me when I first started playing the game, spinning your wheels. I recommend a fairly fast runthrough to start out -- it will really help you play the game again and try for all the goodies.

strosek

I need them because I am doing just that the hunts. I need stones to do those are i am going to be running around to all of the places and that sucks ass. How many hunts do you have to do before you can buy the stones? Also I wish that guy would come back and tell me what part of the market i can buy those stones at. If I can buy them now I want too I do NOT like grinding its like warcraft again and fighting the same guy over and over and over again gets old as shit. The way your talking its like you have to beat this game 2 to get the full ending and i hope thats not the case.

On another note the giza plains are raining so I am not sure i can even do the "little love on the big plains now thats its raining so I might be screwed anyways

Offhand, I believe you need 12 before Teleport Stones become available from the Clan Provisioner, though I could be wrong. How many have you successfully completed? Also, as has been said, you usually receive at least one or two each time you complete a Hunt.

Actually, now that I think about it, try hopping aboard a ship at one of the Aerodromes. I think one of the merchants on them sells them, though maybe that doesn't become available till later. Give it a go -- see what you come up with.

And no, that's not what I'm saying, I'm saying if you only play it once, you'll probably be hopelessly confused as to exactly what-all happened.

Depending on what point in the game you're at, you can't. Where are you currently?

Did you try my suggestion about the Aerodromes? That's also not a bad tip in general if the areas you need to go to for the Hunts have Aerodromes -- just use those instead of the Stones.

Not sure what aerodromes are. This is were I am in the game

I am at the hike through the highwast.

I stoped and lv up all my back up chr to lv 30 in the ZC. I am stoping the main game at this point to do all the hunts i can. My main chr are all lv 45ish-50.

I have done 9 hunts now.
1,2,3,4,5,8,10,11(pending the rain stops),12

I got 18 stones left. i just hope that lasts till i can buy the stone from the guy your talking about

First of all, aerodromes are the section in most places where you can choose to ride an airship.

You have to be (I believe) a Head Hunter in order to buy the teleport stones. Go to Rabanastre and go to the furthest most section in the north near the Clan Hall (or whatever it's called.) Look at your mini-map. Head south into the next area. I'm not totally sure what the name of that area is, but it's something like "Mangus Bangaa." At an item shop, there is a bangaa selling both gylash (sp?) greens and the teleport stones that you're looking for.

you read it before i did the edit. I had to go in and out and in and out something the GUIDE did not tell me. thats why i edited that out.

But i have another problem

#38 Antlion infestation I some how got a black hole to pop up on that guy and still lost. Aero is all i have so take out the smaller guys but I was thinking ok I will go see that guy that you were talking about the one that sells the stones. I also wanted to see if I could buy a bouble belt I am at the Muthru bazzar and No one will sell me a damn thing other then the clain prov. All he has is a 30,000 item that does "reverse effects of restorative such as potions" I am not sure if thats any good or what it would be used for but still no stone.

and on another note When do i get the bubble belt in the game?

Slavka
03-23-2008, 12:25 PM
You can buy the Bubble Belt from the Clan Provisioner once you reach a certain Clan Rank.

And about the Antlion hunt (or any other hunt for that matter): don't use Quickenings - they're a waste of MP, which could be used for much better purposes. If you still can't beat the mark, I suggest levelling up some more, or waiting until you can buy Aeroga.

03-24-2008, 02:54 AM
Well, I don't know what to tell you about the stones, because I got them when I was a Hedge Knight from that same seller, so I don't know. As for the antlion (in my opinion) you just need to wipe out the other creatures surronding the antlion first. You don't have to be higher than lvl 55 if you don't want to, because I was only at about 52 when I kicked its butt. Stronger magic might work. I recommend getting further into the game when you have magic stronger than Aero, and returning to defeat the antlion later. I'm not sure when you're able to get the bubble belt. All I know was I was a "Brave Companion" before I could get it in Rabanastre.

Some on in another thread to do hunts as they come up and I should have no problem well I think I have no choice but to move forward in the story line Which really sucks because the items that you get from the hunt ranks are what would make the main game better.

I have done
1-5
7-15
17,33,34,37,

At this time I can do 36(when in rains) Maybe one other one. The rest of them are to high lv in HP and zones for me to get too.

16,18,38,39 are the others that I have but can not do because of lv and or gear.

Yet after all that I have done I can buy only one Item from the C.P.

1.When you lv up what states go up?
2.This guy that sells the stones is he the C.P in the market place I think I remember talking to some one else that did offer the sell of some kind of greens but he is not talk able right now or something not sure. I have 18 stones left after all those hunts. Its not as bad as I thought it would be but never the less i would like to buy them.

The Clan Provisioner also sells Gysahl Greens. The Provisioner will continue to sell better and better items, and the items will still remain available, it's just that you have to scroll in order to get the next screen in some cases.

This may not be totally relevant anymore since others have posted numerous tips on how to collect Teleport Stones, but a really easy way of getting them is to go down to the Lhusu Mines in Bhujerba and steal from every Steeling you see. You'll get a lot of Bat Fangs and Wind Stones, but Teleport Stones are also pretty common steals. I got about 5 or so last night, while I was doing the storyline mission where you must fight/run away from Ba'Gamnan.

Personally, I rarely if ever use Teleport Stones, because I don't usually find them necessary. Practically any location in the game can be relatively easily reached on foot, by chocobo or by airship, and the last two options are just way cooler than using a Teleport Stone.

I mostly sell mine.

Well, if you don't have enough money for the chocobo or airship (the Strahl or other airships) then Teleport Stones are very useful.

Agent0042

If you don't have enough money for Strahl or other airships, you're probably really early on in the game anyway. I mean, once you get towards the end of the game, you really start building up a surplus of money, because there's really nothing to buy other than basic items. And any time towards the middle of the game, you usually make enough that you can keep aside at least a few thousand for either of those.

But I don't like using this game's chocobos, they're piss-slow when they're not sprinting.

Yeah, that was dumb, and what was even dumber was that it doesn't stick around if you dismount, it's just gone.

The chocobos run off in several Final Fantasy games, but at least those games gave you the option of being able to keep a chocobo later in the game unlike in XII. That's why I typically use the Strahl or I just use the Teleport Stones.

Agent0042
03-25-2008, 04:12 AM
Well, I know they run off in a lot of Final Fantasy games, but that just didn't seem practical here. Your chocobo never ran off in IX, nor in X or X-2.

Well, I think it may have ran off in IX (memory's a bit sketchy on this), but even if it did, you could still call it any time if you had chocobo tracks and the appropriate item.

And if I recall correctly, you could open treasures chocobo-bound in X and X-2, but you couldn't in this game.

FreakyLoser
03-25-2008, 04:19 AM
In IX, the chocobo will run away, but you only have to press the triangle button to get it back. Yes, you could open chests while on a chocobo in both X and X-2. I really hope they improve the whole chocobo thing for the next game. I get the feeling I'm the only one, but I miss being able to control the airship. Sometimes I like just choosing the location you want to go to, but I also liked being able to fly wherever I want.

Agent0042
03-25-2008, 04:22 AM
No, there are others who missing controlling it. I can feel that, but I also understand why it's just not practical -- I mean, I just don't see how they could practically animate it -- they would have to really reconfigure the design of the game in a radical way. Kingdom Hearts lets you actively fly a vessel, but only because you're actually traveling between entire worlds.

As for the chocobos, yeah. Maybe we can finally get the battle chocobos everybody seemed to think we'd be getting when this game was first promoted.

FreakyLoser
03-25-2008, 04:29 AM
I can understand why they didn't do the whole airship thing, but they should try it for the heck of it.

The battle chocobo thing would be amazing! It would probably be hard for the makers of the game to do, but it would be amazing!

The makers should challenge themselves to make these things. It would be awesome!

I also went back to the story line to get the double exp item.

SO. Now that I feel like a dumb ass. Were is the best place o lv up your guys other then the ZC? I have one main fighter and one low fighter so that each guy in the ZC is about 2,000 exp. Thats what I am doing but maybe a better way?

I don't know about earlier on in the game, but when you get strong enough to survive in the Nabreus Deadlands you can level up pretty fast on Dead Bones (in the area where you fight Roblon, I think it's called Overlooking Eternity, or something).

And, really late on, depending on the strength of your team, the small room with the Gate Switchboard in the hidden part of the Henne Mines drops a fairly large group of Abysteels on you, which will give you quite a bit of experience.

Well, considering the fact that you get Chocobos right off the bat for a cheap price rather than having to do a long sidequest for them, it's only fair that they won't be AS much of a necessity. They kinda got equally shafted as they did in X. X just had the Sun Sigil as the closest thing to a sidequest, and the closest thing to a sidequest in this game that's Chocobo related is getting Exodus.

They also ran away in FF8 and didn't have as long-winded a sidequest, but they still had the best sidequest ever there out of the ones I've played IMO.
