Hello everyone. I play a role playing game with my friends call DnD(Dungeons and Dragons). I want to find some game soundtracks that i can use while we fight in a battle or when we are in town or something else.
Can someone recommend me some game soundtracks to use with the DnD game?(I have the DnD soundtracks, so i'm looking for more soundtracks from other games.)

Thank you so much.

evilbunny,
I think what you might need is some Power Metal, in particular Nox Arcana, Rhapsody of Fire and Iced Earth's Horror Show. And it is your lucky day because I have a Thread full of it linked in my Sig! I'd reccomend Nox Arcana's Blood of the Dragon Album and Rhapsody of Fire's Power of the Dragonflame as the best to start out with. As for soundtracks, Check the Dragon Quest/Warrior series, Castlevania and Shadow of the Collossus. Also, Check for good Remixes of songs from those series, too. I also, have collections of good Remixes of Castlevania and Dragon Quest songs in my Thread, too=)

Hi there, I'm also looking for some epic battle thems for my DnD sessions.
I don't dislike Power Metal, but I do think that it doesn't fit in that good..

Anyway, I already have most of the last battle themes from the Final Fantasy serie, some tracks of Shadow of the Colossus, few from Castlevania (like Tues Meus Deus) and one from Valkyrie Profile (Unrestrained Struggle).

I'll apprecciate any suggestions or help (:

I actually do the same thing... I have around 80 tracks labelled for use for my particular game, each one a theme for a different fight, character, or moment (sad, happy, etc).

Problem is, I didn't take from one or two albums... most songs I have from a particular game is probably 4 or 5. But if it's battle music you want, you can't go wrong with Soul Calibur 2 or Legend of Mana. But I have dozens of albums where I only took one song, so that probably wouldn't help you, as I don't know the situation.

- Final Fantasy 12 (yes, I recommend a FF-OST, but this one's not from Uematsu. Bite me.)
- Heroes of Mana
- Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn
- Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance
- Final Fantasy: Crystal Chronicles
- Heavenly Sword (for Arabic themed areas)
- Odin Sphere
- Suikoden-series
- Jade Empire (for Far-Eastern-themed areas)

Anime:
- Tales From Earthsea
- Mononoke-hime
- The Vision of Escaflowne

Thanks to both.
Well, I'm specifically looking for some powerful orchestred theme; those usually heard during final bosses match, something similar to "Unrestrained Struggle" (Valkyrie Profile 2) and "Vergil Battle 3" (Devil May Cry 3).

Any advise? I'd appreciate a lot some titles if you have (:

First of all thank you for you help and your suggestions. I will find and download everything you said.
Domingo, can you upload your collection of the soundtracks you use for DnD?
If you could i would really appreciate it.

Thank you all and if someone has more suggestions feel free to post them.

Sure, I'll upload them. There are 85 tracks. The name of each track is what I have re-named it for easier use during my game... just give them a listen, and if you find one you like, just let me know and I'll see if I can tell you where it's from. Just give me a bit to get it uploaded.

No problem... like I said, just listen to them, let me know which ones you find to be good, and I'll fork over the place where I found it. The collection will be up in about an hour and a half... it takes a while to upload, so bear with me.

Heard your stuff Domingo! Well, what can I say..
the music itself is not bad but actually it's what I wouldn't use in a DnD session, campaign (speaking of battle themes).

Too eletronic for my tastes and feels "too modern"; I'm more for something "traditional" if I could say so, like orchestred themes.

Thanks a lot anyway (:

I must say that most of your tracks, not to say all are very good.
I really thank you Domingo and i'm going to use them for sure!
Thanks again my friend!

By the way, where the track "Boss theme - VS. Lorelai" comes from?
I quite like it.

That track is from Devil May Cry (the first one), when you fight the Griffon.

well here is my list of OSTs im using :
World of Warcraft
Kingdom Hearts 1 & 2 (some good for fighting and some calm neutral songs)
Devil May Cry 2 & 3 (really dark and mysterious songs for Dungeons and stuff)
Final Fantasy (mainly used for Battle Themes)
Soul Calibur 2 & 3

if you're desperate to use game soundtracks for this, you should look into jeremy soule's work - oblivion, company of heroes, and particularly guild wars and its expansion soundtracks. quite good - particularly the later GW soundtracks. nightfall was my favorite, although i've got pleasant memories of Prophecies (about 700 hours worth).
