how does it come that this soundtrack is a .exe and not as expected a .zip or .rar? What actually does it do when i open it?

The fix for this is simple. Download the file, then once you have it on your computer rename the file so that it ends in ".rar" instead of ".exe"

That will allow you to unzip the file.
