Where are all the Expirement manuals in Ch.5?

And in New Game+ does all the dresspheres from all your games go into there or just one game of dresspheres go in there?

you get to carry over everything from the last game and start a new one, thus being able to get 100%

those can be found by checking gameFAQs.com

The Dress Spheres remain at the % you left them last game. You will have all abilities learned and you'll have the same amount of AP in unlearned but partially trained abilities, the Gun Mage will have all learned Blue Bullets from previous games.

All your characters will be back at level 1, this means however, that even you save all the abilities from your Dress Spheres, you won't be able to use them straight away. Because of the MP limitations (can be fixed with the Ragnarok asseccory).

There are five experiment manuals in Ch 5:

-One you get by just talking to someone in Djose Temple in one of the side rooms.
-Outside Djose Temple in the far right corner there are three monkeys that jump around, you have to wait a while until they all jump at the same time and when they do, press X.
-Inside Djose cloister in the room with all the pillars, past the stairs leading up to the Experiment there's a guy asking for a password. If you watched the Djose CommSpheres and understand Al Bhed you might remember them talking about a "password", being the name of the big cactus in the desert. So, put in "Marnela".
-One hidden somewhere in Calm Lands Chocobo Dungeon/Ruin Depths. If you haven't opened that or done that side quest, consult a FAQ on how to.
-All over Mi'hen Highroad there are a lot of machina. It's on a random different one every game, so keep going up to every machina and pressing X (or was it square?) until you get it. If it doesn't have it, nothing will happen. It takes a while, it's on a different one every game and they're scattered all the way from Luca to the dead end.

I heard that if you dug up a lot of things at Bikanel Desert where the yellow Xs are, you don't need to find other manuals because it is at Lv.5, correct?

That's correct. BUT, if you're going for the maximum %, you MUST fight it at least once BEFORE it reaches 5-5-5, and once AT 5-5-5. That's why they recommend not to go digging in early chapters so you have a chance to fight it before it's leveled all the way.

You simply don't dig until after you get to Ch 5 and fight the experiment, and then spend hours digging until you get it to 5-5-5.

The only other purpose of fight the experiment in between is, once its "Special" reaches five, it has the ability to use "Annihilator" which is a Blue Bullet, a hard to learn one at that, and this is the only way to get it. It will use it at 5-5-5, but it will be very hard to learn and survive the battle, especially if you're trying to teach it to all three girls. So if you fight it with it's Special at 5 and it's other stats lower, you can learn it a lot more easily and have an easier battle, and from there raise its other stats and fight it all powered up. So on average one would probably repair it twice maximum.

To make things easier you can dig in chapter 1 for Specials and reset if you get an Attack or Defense Assembly.

You'd have to really dig a lot in earlier chapters in order to screw it up.

And truth be told, digging really isn't all that much fun unless you're choco-digging.
