Do I have a treat for all of you! I got ahold of all the music that was finished for Chrono Trigger Resurrection and at first I was just going to upload it here, but I noticed that it was pretty rough around the edges. It wasn't looped at all and all of the songs were pretty short because of it and there weren't very good fade outs, if there were any at all.

Anyways, I decided I should try and edit some loops in most of the songs and give them all a good fade out. I think I did a pretty good job with all of them, but if you guys notice some imperfections, feel free to tell me which song and where it's at and I'll see if I can get those out. Some of these songs were kinda tricky to manipulate btw.

Below is a list of all the songs in alphabetical order and the download links.

These names are exactly the same as when I found them.

01 - Battle 1
02 - Battle 2
03 - Battle with Magus
04 - Bell
05 - Boss Battle 1
06 - Boss Battle 2
07 - Burn Bobunga
08 - Corridors of Time
09 - Fanfare
10 - Frog Saves the Day
11 - Frog's Theme
12 - Goodnight
13 - Morning Sunlight
14 - Peaceful Day
15 - Robo's Theme
16 - Schala's Theme
17 - Secret Boss Battle
18 - Secret of the Forest
19 - Singing Mountain
20 - Sleepy Yay
21 - The Brink of Time
22 - The Chrono Trigger
23 - The Day the World Revived
24 - Title Theme
25 - To Far Away Times
26 - To Far Away Times (Edited Version)
27 - Undersea Palace
28 - World Revolution
29 - Zeal Palace

It did not have any cover art. I actually just talked to the guy that made them and he directed me to his online archive of all the music. I could hook you up with some concept art or something if you want to make a custom cover.

Many thanks to you sir for uploading!

Hmmm. Try right clicking the link and go to "save link as..." If you aren't using Firefox I'm not sure what that option would be called, but I'm fairly certain that every browser has an equivalent.

Speaking of Chrono Trigger, can anyone provide an upload of the "Journey Through The Brilliant Days" doujin album? Been looking for it for a while.

I got the first part but then the second one works as both did yesterday. Odd. Anyway, this is well appreciated. I've heard a couple of the arranged tunes from "Resurrection" and they do sound superb in the sense that they are the originals, with updated instrumentals. :D

edit: I managed to download it! Thanks a lot!

Nice soundtrack btw. It's a shame SE filed the "cease-and-desist" on the makers of the game. Anyways, it's not like SE plans to remake Chrono Trigger so why not let the fans have this one? Oh wait, because they are too concerned with not benefitting from it financially

It really is a great find you have. The looping sounds almost seamless and the instruments are coming out loud and crystal clear. Its just like the SNES, only better. The battle themes alone are worth the download. Its a pity some of them like "World Revolution" are incomplete (I was really getting into it too). Nevertheless, this is definitely going into my collection.

An error occurred attempting to expand /Users/serge/Downloads/Chrono Trigger Resurrection OST-1.part2.rar

The structure of the archive is damaged (Error #17540)

Seems the second part was corrupted: I tried to download it a second time, but the results were the same.

Gambit

One of the songs is split between the archives. You have to have both of them in the same directory and then start extracting the first part and it should automatically yank them out of the second part as well.

I just downloaded and checked the second part and it extracted fine except that one song that's split.

No, Yasunori Mitsuda composed the original songs and melodies. Matthew Valente (loved his work for the game Clouds) did a bang up job with his arrangements of Mitsuda's tunes here.

The arrangements are pretty faithful, pity that's all we have available. Would've liked to have heard arrangements of Guardia Millenial Fair, Time Circuits and Tyran Castle among others but I'm more than happy with what's there.

I managed to grab this ages back and loved it, but I forgot to say thanks...so thanks :P I also made these back then too if anyone wants them.

The purpose of Chrono Trigger, along with all other commercial video games, is to turn a profit. If there's no profit motive, there's no Chrono Trigger.

And this is not a bad thing.

Gambit, I just have to ask; the songs you originally edited, do you happen to have them as .wav files, or were they MP3:s, when you got your hands on them?

I'm curious if there is any existing loss-less version of this soundtrack, either in original .wav or in .flac or some other loss-less format? :o
I have been searching for one for who knows how long now, no luck thus far.

Oh, and thanks a ton for the upload! I'm really thankful for you to put these up :)

Gambit
09-19-2013, 04:06 PM
If I remember right they were all just mp3 format so I don't think you'll have much luck finding lossless stuff.
