Hi I don't know if this has been brought up before, but this is really bugging me. On the ffshrine music pages, where you can view and listen to midis of the soundtrack, I'm confused about Garnet's theme.
I've listened to it and it quite clearly isn't Garnet's theme at all, as the sheet music doesn't match and neither do any mp3 recordings. However I recognise the song as being from ff9, but I don't know what it is. I was wondering if anyone might be able to recognise it, as its beautiful and i can't look up the correct sheet music until I know the name. Any help greatly appreciated. =)

The site I went to said it was called Garnet's Theme and I think it plays when Doctor Tot has the flashback to when he is Garnet's teacher when she was really young... I could be wrong since I got it off the internets and not off the OST...

Yeah, the one on ffxtreme is the right one. The midi posted on ffshrine is wrong, but I want to know what it is, as i recognise it. Thanks for your help though, at least now i know I'm not imagining things. =)

I hate ffshrine.org...it's like they don't even care... have you seen the last time the FFXII profile was updated? (http://www.ffshrine.org/ffxii/ffxii.php)

This forum is good (and by far one my favorite one I'm registered to) but the actual site just isn't ...isn't... oh I can't think of a word to use.

the word would be OUTDATED. FFS' site is OUTDATED.

You morons are completely ignoring the OP's question. He's not asking what Garnet's Theme IS, He's asking for the NAME of this (http://ffmusic.ffshrine.org/ff9midis/220-garnet's%20theme.mid) track.

And you moron fail to realise that this theme isn't from FF IX at all (unless it's a really random and weak remix).

Even more laughable is the fact that you call people morons for not addressing the OP's question, while not addressing it in turn. That was indeed beyond moronic.

Would it have been more satisfying if I said I didn't know what it was? If I did, I would say. And where did I even say it was from IX? I didn't, all I said was that the question was about that track, and not about Garnet's Theme itself or how outdated ffshrine is. So don't put words in my mouth.

Unfortunately I can't identify the track, whether its from IX or something else.

Just was making the question more clear thats all...

Thanks for the help, looks like I'm going to have to play through again. I'll listen out for the Doc Tot scene.

I read every single post in this thread. Doctor Tot's flashback is when Garnet's Theme is played, not the thing the OP linked to.

Blindly jumping in and calling everyone morons, while neglecting to offer something useful to the conversation. I should punch you in the mouth for that, and punch your mom in the uterus for having you. *tsk* *tsk*

1. I would be pretty frustrated if I was the OP, and it is hardly "blindly". I felt the question was being misunderstood, with the exception of maybe one or two.

2. Neglecting to offer something useful? I was clearing up what was being asked if anything. If anything it most of the posters before me neglecting to offer something useful. MOST, not ALL. Some did understand. Maybe I did not know the answer myself, but that's better than not knowing the question.

3. Any sort of reply to the last part would just be sinking to your level. Before you say I'm replying "blindly" I suggest reading the rest of the thread after what you quoted and then try responding. Besides, over on this forum here a majority of the users don't take personally to being called morons, especially over something like this.

Zak6009, you're a retarded moron.

You fail to realise that the first people who posted here tried to help hte OP.

All you did was call people here morons for not knowing the answer themselves. They at least did give links or explanations as to what they think the song might be.

Take me for example, I did point out that the theme is NOT from FF IX, contrary to what the OP believed. You on the other hand, contribute nothing here. There is absolutely NOTHING in your comments that would make this topic go forward to finding the exact title of the theme and what game it comes from.

And just for the record, The OP's question was pretty clear from the beginning. If I was him, I would be pissed at you for trying to correct the question as if I couldn't possibly type it accurately. You're the only one insulting the intelligence of other people here, and you do that while not even being close to the average level of the people here.

Seriously, if there is one moron in this thread, it's you. So bad you couldn't notice that before you posted your first shit.

this doesnt sound like ANYTHING on ff7 / 8 / 9. probably one of the EARLIER FFs due to the simplicity of the composition i guess? try searching one by one... if its not from FF10, then its an earlier FF.
