Ok here it is. I worked at best buy at the time of the release of all the new gen game systems wii, ps3 and as I was working there I saw alot of little kids, About 10 to 13 come in and say wow this is my first game system. Wow I I thought to myself I older then I thought.

My first game system was the original Nintendo (aka regular Nintendo "Nes")

WHAT WAS YOUR FIRST GAME SYSTEM

Now on a side note, And this is funny (to me at least) a couple kids came in and said ya i like Nintendo Wii but really bad graphics.

Damn I said to one of the kids. You know what graphics were when i was like 10 years old a couple of pixels

think about it everyone remember saying to yourself as you played a new game "wow these graphics are awesome i dont know how they can make them look better" like "Duke Nukem" for instance when you threw money at the stripper i thought "That is so real and life like (I was young forgive me) Now looking at it it was nothing but a low quality giant pixel animated gif lol"

My evolution - Atari > Nintendo > Snes > Game boy > Virtual Boy > Sega > Sega-cd-X > PS1 > Psx2 > X360 > Ps3

Age of first Game system = 4 years old Atari

Atart 2600 was my first I loved ghostbusters on it as well as Gauntlet. When i was like 5 or 6 got the NES soon after that piece of crap broke. Then got the game boy for gaming on the go. I do have some fond memories of those shitty tiger electronics hand helds also. :)

When SNES and Genesis came out, I quickly sided with Sega since it had several of my favorite arcade games and the fact that Nintendo brought out a "No Blood" stance.

...and i agree, back then what we had was awesome man! i remember going from super mario bros to super mario world and thoght "holy fucking shit the future is now!" lol. it was exhilerating and it was beautiful. i loved it!You sound just like the "Pacman" and "Pong" generation when they criticized NES and future systems.

now i'm sad cause it doesn't matter what comes out, you can't be impressed like that anymore.I know what you mean. What can companies top now. Gameplay? Interactivity? Graphics don't seem to cut it anymore, and it is sad 'cause that's what fans loved about waiting for the next game and system. The eye candy of how the next game would look.

AND BEFORE ANYONE SAYS ANYTHING:

Yes, Graphics were 1st, and Gameplay was 2nd.
Don't tell me first time you saw the debut of the PS2, N64, and Dreamcast, you weren't getting wet just seeing how games would look from now on. That's what attracted people to play certain games in the first place.

It was some Binatone Pong console something ridiculous like 30 games on it but all different as some were called tennis.

In order though it would go Binatone thing, Atari VCS, Intellivision, Colecovision, Nes, Master System, Snes, Mega Drive, Atari Jaguar, PC Engine GT, Ps1, Saturn, Dreamcast, Gamecube, Ps2.

Also in there various handhelds at one time or another strating with various Game and Watches then Game Boy, Game Gear, Atari Lynx, Game Boy Colour, Game Boy Advance, Wonderswan Colour, Neo Geo Pocket Colour, Game Boy Advance, Game Boy Micro, DS and PSP.

My first system was the NES.

We got ours in 1988 and our first game was Wrestlemania. I had played Super Mario Bros. at a friend's house and desperately wanted one. My brother saved up his paychecks (he's about 10 years older than me so he could buy it himself) and we got it for Christmas that year.

I have everything since then except the PS3, Wonderswan, Virtual Boy and Neo Geo Pocket Color.

Those were the days ...

I played an NES... but I don't count it as my first game console. I count the SNES as my official first... because it was actually mine. we had an NES, though... for a short time when I was really little. I remember watching my brother playing it more than playing it myself.

so, yeah. SNES> Game Boy Pocket/Game Boy Color> 64> GameCube> DS> Wii> PS2.

I put Game Boy Pocket and Color together because like, I had my Game Boy Pocket for a very short time... it was actually my brother's old Game Boy, anyway. >_> and the reason the PS2 is last is because I only just got mine in January. XD

NES. Man did that system piss me off to no end. I'd be lucky to get games to play for an hour before it started glitching up.

My first game I remember playing was Air and Sea Battles (at least i believe that's what it was called.) with my Dad and actually keeping toe to toe with him even though I believe I was 4 at the time. When it comes to video games I can recall memories way back in the past. In terms of what I have played chronologically: Atari 2600, Intellivision, Atari 5200, Nintendo, Sega Master system, Super nintendo, Gameboy, Turbo Graphix 16, sega Geniesis, Sega CD, 3do, PSX, Nintendo 64, Dreamcast, (fun times), Ps2, Nintendo DS, and the Nintendo WII.

like most, my first system was a NES,
but being born in 1987, the nes was of my parents, then at age of 2, my first real achievement in videogaming history was beating level 1-1 of mario bros.

now, being 21 and founder of the game/system hunters, i own over 25 systems and more than 200 games.

today i came back from hunting and got me unreal tournament and resident evil 3 (both for dreamcast), a BRAND NEW mario bros cartridge (complete with propaganda... which brought a tear to my eye)
and tetris for Game boy.

my favorite system?
a tie between the SNES and the dreamcast

My first videogame system was the original NES. When I say original, I mean it was complete with Robot, Lightgun, and two of the first games released in the US. Those games were Geromite (which used the Robot) and Duckhunt (which used the lightgun). Duckhunt after all these years is still considered one of the best lightgun games ever made. NES -> SNES -> Gameboy -> Turbografx 16 (bought used from a family friend) -> PSX -> Gameboy Advance -> Gamecube -> PSX (with a Mod Chip) -> Atari -> ColecoVision -> Turbografx 16 (replaced a theft) -> Game Gear -> Sega Master System -> Sega Genesis and CD -> Sega Saturn -> Gameboy Color -> DS -> Wii -> PS3

I still own all of them.
