i hadnt watched this show in years, I used to watch it when i was like 14, 15. I never really got what was going on tbh, but I vaugely understood the ideas and concepts and they fascinated me.

just lately i downloaded a few seasons of it, and i have to say, its pretty excellent, and better then anything on tv today. i enjoy the characters, the music, atmosphere and the themes. and i found the dvd's of the show at a very decent price in a nearby store, so ill be adding them to the collection soon enough. anyone else a fan?

Aye, X-Files is a good show. My brothers recorded most of them off the TV back in the day, though I don't think we have the later seasons when it gets a bit shite, though it isn't very useful seeing as we don't have a working video player anymore. Amazon has the complete boxset for like 80 though, so I have been thinking about buying it.

Been a long time since I last watched it. But used to tune in pretty often back in my teens. Thought some episodes were better than others, but overall found the earlier seasons to be pretty good.

yeah, it starts to decline after season 5.

apperently duchovny and anderson(mulder and scully) were on 100k per episode. and with 20+ episodes a season. and 9 seasons. wow.

I've currently been re-watching the show again. I've downloaded all nine seasons, and I am about to start season four. After all these years, it is still such a freaking awesome show.

I WANT TO BELIEVE.

Do you guys remember this (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FYnKVTLhN-E) creepy episode? It freaked me out as a kid, and it's still pretty grotesque.

X-Files was a great show. I was about 4 years old when it first premiered and my mom was addicted to it. Missing a new episode of the X-Files was the 8th Deadly Sin in my household.

Growing up watching shows like The X-Files, Star Trek TNG, Sliders and more has made me quite the Sci-Fi nut.

I've recently downloaded the entire series and I'm just about done watching Season 1. I'm also burning data DVD-R discs for my mom -_-

I must say though, from what I can remember, the episode that probably freaked me out the most was the one with the psychic doll that some little girls dad found in the out in the ocean on his fishing boat or something? [shudders] That one gave me nightmares. After that I became terrified of the stuffed Bullwinkle in the closet.

X-Files was the greatest show to hit the airwaves, and lasted the magic number of nine seasons. But don't download the show; when first released on DVD, each season coast ruffly $120 but today you can head on over to HMV and pick up it up for $20(Not Future shop or Best Buy they rip you off). Is it worth the hours/days to download a 24/350MB episode season of good .avi quality through some wretched torrent file operating at 20-120KB/s depending on the ration of seeds to leechers and on how good you are. Or just support the show you love and get the best possible quality. your call...

good point, they're going for 29.99 per season here. i may buy a few of em.

also, i get 350kb torrent speed. =P

I saw the series since it first came out... there was one season where they tried to do comedy with it, that season sucked, its the one where mulder and scully are part of a virtual reality game... anyway the first movie was awesome, waiting for teh second one...

They started doing comedy before that episode--I think the first was "Jose Chung's 'From Outer Space'". Actually their comedy episodes are some of my favorites. "Small Potatoes" was a great episode!

Small Potatoes, in the end where Scully is making out with "Mulder" was pretty funny. I think the comedy episodes are great, and also pretty funny. My favorite has to be the episode "The Post-Modern Prometheus", with the Cher-loving monster. xD
