Or not...

I read something today. Apparently back in the day, square enix, or square soft as it was then known, was about to go bankrupt. Final Fantasy was last ditch attempt to earn some revenue, and was never expected to get a sequel..Ironic no?

I imagine many people already knew about this. And if so, any information you have on this, would be greatly appreciated.

I know that Final Fantasy was named that, because it was supposed to be SquareSoft's "final fantasy." That's why they named it the way they did.

That kind of surprised me too when I first heard that. I guess they were lucky the first FF did so well. if it hadn't, I wonder what games I would be playing today instead.

they were really bankrupt, almost to the point where they couldn't afford to make a last game, but they did. scary thought: what would've happened if they hadn't come up with ff, but an even dorkier game instead? *shudder*

Yeah I remember when they were losing a lot of money recently so they made shit games like Dirge of Cerberus and a shitty movie called Advent Children and they got all their money back!

They really do work miracles.

I had no clue until this very minute.

Karma really liked someone at Square, no?

And I have NEVER played Dirge of Cerberus... I think that if they were losing money, that they should have come up with a better way to fix the problem than THAT.

DoC wasn't necessarily a result of SE's losing money so much as it was another way to make more, as it was part of the FFVII anthology: Before Crisis, Last Order, Crisis Core, Advent Children, and of course Dirge of Cerberus. As you probably already know, the same is being done with FFXIII.

Not really, no. FF XIII's games are not related to each others.

See, the massive difference is she would only have to search once.

Menu access will more than likely happen multiple times thus having a 5 second delay everytime you want to access the menu is time consuming, tedious AND annoying.
