This has probably been discussed to death and determined, but:

1. What is IT's gender?

2. Does the ability "Protect Girls" protect Quina?

The Qus do not have a gender. How they reproduce is just not explained.

I don't know because I never used it.

If memory serves me right, I think the "Protect Girls" ability actually did protect Quina :eye:.

It wouldn't be difficult to test. If my memory card didn't fry earlier this week, I'd test it myself.

In the story, Quina is not given a gender.

Curiously enough though, the 'protect girls' ability does work for him/her which would imply he/she is actually female.

Go figure??

i'm pretty sure there is a bit in the story where Zidane calls Quina a "him" - maybe an error like when it says "Regend Cid" instead of "Regent Cid"

just because it wears an apron doesn't necessirily means it's a girl

we will never know if Quina is male or female - end of!

No.

I'm a woman myself...Wait, I hate myself. I guess I am. :(

So men obviously don't wear them when they cook. Oh these chefs must have some sort of new item of clothing without a name then ?_?

My friend's dad wears an apron when he cooks. It's hilarious.

I would like to point out that my previous statement was only a joke, but while we are on the subject, can anyone name 3 famous female chefs?

Delia Smith
Nigella Lawson
Norma MacMillan

Im not looking to get into a sexist argument with anyone, but, the majority of the worlds bet chefs are male...

Cat Cora pwns Rachel Ray, ftr.

edit: I also don't cook bacon. That'd be kind of weird seeing as I'm a vegetarian. I do, however, cook a variety of dishes when my wife isn't shooing me out. I even occasionally cook them well. ;)

Most of the time, yes. I've had too many grease-pops in my meat-eating days. *shudders*

But yeah, a LOT of chefs are men. I love to cook. I am a man. But i am ALSO a fat man. So it kinda pans out.

I've always thought of Quina as a girl.

4 male and 4 female is preferable to 5 male 3 female.

Other than that, she just seems like a female to me. :?
