So I obviously got my copy today, and I've got to say, this game is ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE. If you've got the $70, you HAVE to buy it.

Can't wait until the full soundtrack is out too. The music in this is incredibly epic.

Damn. I thought that there were automatic saves, so when I finished five missions, I just turned my xbox off to give it a rest, and when I came back determined to kick someone's ass, I had to start all over. I was kind of sad, but it's so much fun that you don't really mind.

Yup, I also bought myself the Special Edition version, thinking that it would have the full soundtrack included, since it did say Soundtrack included. Well turns out it was only a 5 song sample on the DVD. That was a major let down! But ya, I'm playing this awesome game (one of my favorite songs is the boss music when fighting Dante) and can't wait for the full OST to be released. Day 1 Download!

Shadow, you mean the battle in Mission 10? I didn't even notice the music. I was gritting my teeth because of how much faster Dante is compared to Nero. Good thing I figured out a good strategy that greatly weakens him.

I have never played any DMC games except for trying out at a friends house. I am gonna buy DMC4 no matter what, the gameplay looks extremely good and the characters there are badass! :P

I can easily say that DMC is my favorite game series, and I find it very sad that I hated this game. The actual gameplay was good, but everything else sucked.

Bought it a couple days ago and love it.

I rented it today, but the last asshole had it had the disc broken in half when i checked it and i returned it and asked for a new disc, but that was there only copy, then i asked for a refund. Sucks!!

Orange, that sucks man. But I'd advise you to just buy it instead of renting. So worth it.

I have over 24 hours on my save now, beat it only once, and only have 15 (200pts) achievements out of the 46. This game has SO MUCH re-playability.

All the different difficulty settings/modes, going back to S-rank all the missions, weapon/skill upgrades, secret missions, blue orbs, 360 achievements... Yeah, if you're a completist like me, then that's almost an understatement. :P

But I agree, the game was fantastic! The action was stunning, the gameplay was satisfying, the music was wicked (Shawn McPherson even returned for the vocal tracks!) and Dante's cut scenes were laugh out loud funny. DMC's streak of badassery continues!

And I do wish they'd released the soundtrack sooner. The wait is killing me. ><

The story was extremely unimportant and advanced the actual DMC plot nowhere. Not to mention how poorly scripted it was. Dante had no good lines this time around, and Trish and Lady might as well not been in it.

The music, which is pure opinion and thus can't be backed up like my previous statement, was repetitive and dull. The song that plays during your fights is just damn annoying and I hated hearing it's stupid lyrics.

So far I find it EASY, I've gotten A-ranks just blindly stumbling through the levels. In DMC 1 I still have to work hard to get B-ranks. Anyway, I'm looking forward to the soundtrack in hopes that it's a little less boring than DMC3...Of course, IMHO, the best DMC OST is the worst DMC game. DMC2's time goddess theme is fucking fantastic.

I keep having trouble with Credo at Stage 80 in the Bloody Palace. First time I had full health, just got cocky, underestimated him and he got the better of me.

Second time (just a little while ago), I had next to nothing of health and was no match. :(

I love how it's such a tough challenge. Getting to stage 80 is amazing for red orbs, kills and proud souls. About to get all of Nero's/Dante's skills achievements with one more long run. :)

Oh and soundtrack is still scheduled for a February 27th release.

I bet you did...Although Bloody Palace isn't hard at all. Stage 99 or the stages with the 2 Blitzes might be a little tough, but then again, use Dante and pandora's trick. When he opens pandora it makes blitzes go out of "blitz" mode, mephistos and fausts fall and angelo's drop their shields.

I hate Dante's combat style.

Stage 99 wasn't tough. It was just annoying on the fingers. Then I totally didn't know you could avoid doucher's life-sucking ability in Stage 100.

Nero's level 3 charge shot should do the trick. Just shoot it a couple of times and it'll loose it's sheld. And after that, just buster away.

The best quality ripper possible is EAC/Lame. Google it and learn how. Believe it, it makes a huge difference. It's what music groups use to release music. Gamemp3 uses eac/lame all the time. It's definitely the best. :)
