I FINALLY figured out the Desert Palace candle puzzle. I was supposed to UNLIGHT two candles, and it wasn't me that did it, it was my brother...

Well, anyways, I got past the desert palace, and past the Esto Gaza part, but every time I go to the moogle to save in the guest room at Lindblum Grand Palace, the stupid game freezes.

So, I tried to just go to the conference thing, and it freezes then too, so I'm stuck in the guest room, without being able to save.

So, what do you suggest? I can't rent the game, because they don't have it at our video store. (That's what you get for living in a TINY town!) And, no one that I know has it, so should I just buy a new game? I'm just praying it desides to start working. It's a really old playstation, so it COULD be that too....

Tis very sad to hear. I just got DONE with conference room, just now! How about that?

Anyway, well, if it IS the Playstation, I'd probably reccomend to get a new one...they don't cost TOO much...and besides, a new playsation can play a disc that's screwed up beyond words. Just not well :)

Or maybe borrow a friends PS or play it on theirs and see if that works. If not, then it's time for new disks.

Sorry to hear this. :(

Or if it's on your PC you can just reinstall it probably. I had a similar problem with FFVII: I was at the end of the game, but I couldn't get a green or blue chocobo or the Final Attack Materia, and Ruby weapon wouldn't show up. But I reinstalled and everything worked fine.

If it IS my PS, I'm gonna try and talk my mom into getting a PS2, cuz I've wanted one for a while now....Yeah, that's a good idea. Thanks for the advice.:)

Make sure your memory cards are sony ones. Apparentally, any none sony ps one memory cards get reformated once you plug them into the PS2, and are undetectable by the console. bleh!

I'm not sure if that true, it might be for other makes, but my 8 memory cards in one card works perfectly fine.

I have two memory cards and they're both Sony, so OK there! Thanks for that though, cuz memory cards are NOT cheap...

Nuby cards = undetecable by PS2. Plus, it erased all my Metal Gear Solid files (beat it twice, was about to a third), FFIX files (was about to beat it again), and some other files. Bleh...

Just like another dude said, I never have had that problem...one's an official PS mem. card, and the other is...another memory card not made officially by Sony. I've never had the problem of loading on either, really..sooo, what's this I'm hearing?

well, you can get 2 nuby cards for 1 sony card. But yes, they do suck. I wasn't the one that bought them, either.

Hmmmmm, FF9 isn't on PC so i believe it's the game. If it freezes then it ain't your PS. If the laser on the PS is stuffed, the game won't start at all. Check the CD for deep scratches or dust. If your PS is old, i assume it's one of the 1000 series but don't worry, mine's a 1000 aswell.
