I managed to find a few videos of the Fruits Basket episodes on those recently. Though did find the loading times somewhat slow on the second site.

Currently up to ep.10 at the moment. It's cool so far but the way this show is going you wonder if she can end up with anyone, i mean, they turn into animals if you touch them so...i guess i have to watch and see for myself.

Veoh I knew about, but I guess it was too long ago that I tried searching. Now there's some episodes up (with English subtitles, thank goodness). I'll indulge myself after classes today.

I'd love to see Fruits Basket remake with no filler and the entire story animated, but I doubt it'll ever happen. KyoAni makes it hard not to wish for remakes these days!

I really like this series too. It's fast become one of my favourites, though did think things were left hanging in the air a bit when it came to the ending.

The anime ends pretty early on in the manga- the real ending wraps things up a whole lot more. :)

I love furuba (eh hehe.) I was surprised that such a popular series wrapped up at Tankobon 6 with a one series run and no OAVs. I was even more surprised at the end of last year (as a buyer of the legit Tokyopop issues) that A%"t* is actually a @&%�*. Really. Maybe everyone else saw it coming...

I'm sure it must be well worth the read. I understand from what I've read the anime only covered a small part of the story. And it's interesting to know that there's the character differences with Shigure and Akito there are also.

Well, I finished the anime, and people weren't kidding. I liked it, but in whole, it seemed lacking. Honda the genius healed the minds of the Souma-- even the more belligerent ones-- but not much else happened.

The ending wasn't bad at all, but it was very open ended.

EDIT: I almost forgot about the first question! I believe Tohru should end up with Yuki, as he obviously cares about her. I have a feeling Kyo would be happier with Kagura if Tohru could manage to "fix" her obvious flaws. Of course... More happens in the manga, so my opinion is probably not universally shared.

Fruits Basket isn't that old 0__o! If it's so old than what does that make the 90's anime I grew up with? lol makes me feel old XD.

But yeah it is a great anime. I have the box set of the first and only season and I have all the manga volumes of it (up to the current one of course).

I've just finished watching Fruits Basket. It's not the sort of anime I usually watch, as it has no swords, demons,etc. But I have a question: how come Kyo wears this midriff-baring shirt (even though he's a male)?

He doesn't wear it very often. Usually, he wears a sweatshirt over whatever he's wearing underneath. In fact, I didn't really notice it until you mentioned it just now. Perhaps he hasn't received a new shirt in ages.

Ah, good old Furuba. It got me into manga and anime, actually. But, in my then ignorant state, I didn't realize that Furuba WAS Fruits Basket. So whenever I read, I kept on wondering why the author continually mentioned Furuba Xd

As it happens, I picked up the dvd boxset of Fruits Basket yesterday and am watching it again right now.

Can't say personally I've noticed the Kyo shirt thing either, though no doubt that's because I wasn't looking out for it!

I really enjoyed the series and it would be great to see the rest of the manga in anime form. The manga just kinda ended but I'm glad Tohru ended up with Kyo I think he needed her the most plus she was always a fan of the cat.

Furuba is wondeful in MANGA, because the anime has a "open ending" that can make you exasperate...
