No that just means there is a variation of a certain tracks, some have bits put together so there isn't a set list of ones that aren't from the CDs.

what I meant was most of the tracks have some bits placed together like for the credits it has the ending cutscene music and the credits but in the same track, so it would be hard to give a breakdown of all the tracks and their content.

Where in your ultimate soundtrack are these? I can hear that Game Over and Lose a Life are in the same track. Get the Grand Star Theme is with Grand Star Rescue. The rest I'm not sure of, though I haven't listened to the whole thing yet.

I think a breakdown of the track listing details would be appreciated. Either way, good job on this.

One thing I'll point out, the tracks "Bowser's Fireballs" and "Bowser Defeated" are actually heard in the opening cutscene. "Defeated" plays when the castle's being stolen. "Fireballs" plays when Kamek blasts Mario. So one could argue that those songs technically belong near the start of the soundtrack, as they are on the CD.

I take two hours to organize that but if u have the platinum version soundtrack just 26 tracks of this ultimate edition is usefull others are included in platinum version wit a higher or lower duration

the 26 songs have more noise or it not in the platinum version or its a division of a great theme (like for the bowser battle, bowser jr battle)

Here's another question. Is anyone familiar enough with the game's soundtrack to figure out where the tracks starting with 2 (File Select and onward) fit into the tracks starting with 1, if someone wanted to rearrange the entire soundtrack to reflect the order in which the tracks can first be heard while playing. Some of it's obvious (File Select goes between Title and Prologue), but some of the others I'm not sure of (for example, when is "Nostalgia 2" or "Toad's Brigade" first heard?)

Is there any way you can rip the MegaLeg theme where Mario is on the planet itself. It seems there are three versions of this song... Mario on the planet's grounds, Mario on MegaLeg, and then MegaLeg fast version...

I believe this is false. There are three versions of MegaLeg's theme in Peppydude's ultimate soundtrack, but the first two are identical except for the intro; the first one is as it is heard in the game, with synth trumpets and low piano notes in the intro. The second version, labeled "Stage 2" is the same exact track, only minus the intro trumpets, leaving just a piano intro. The faster "Final Stage" version is also lacking synth trumpets in its intro which it does have in the game.

So apparently, both tracks' intros are a mix of sequenced and streaming audio. The game disc extraction only consists of streaming audio, and the CD doesn't include the faster boss theme versions, so... we'll have to do with a slightly imperfect intro for the faster MegaLeg theme.

Hmm... Well, I'll check it out myself in-game, but the fact still stands that tracks 114b and 114c are missing instruments in their intros (it's never just piano in the game). With Track 114b it's no problem because 114 is the same thing with the proper intro. As for 114c, if someone had the proper editing tools I suppose they could take the intro to 114 and edit it into a new intro for 114c (though you'd have to be able to speed it up to match 114c's faster tempo, and cut out the first two quarter notes).

Not sure it went by a different name in this list above... but I didn't see the Kamella Battle theme...

Yeah it's one of the few tracks that probably aren't there, but I was quite pleased with it... spent a couple of hours mix and matching from several sources incl. my own to make that set up.

If I had a decent broadband speed I'd zip it up for you all [nearly 400MB you see] but I thought at least this way people could use it as a guideline.

EDIT: But, in the mean time seeing I can't do that... the least I can do is upload my album art for you to use if you wish.

Within the past month, when some people were giving the rips a go for the first time, I came across this track. Ideally, the method this person took to make the "Megaleg" track did a pretty good job on this track...

Well my shipping invoice from Play-Asia arrived today for the Platinum Edition... roughly �17 with shipping, which is damn good value I think!

Having these rips is always nice as a temporary setup, but the real hard copy with booklet and cover is always the best option.
I had rips of Ocarina of Time and Wind Waker, but now I have my real soundtracks with all the features you receive at the same time, hard copies are always the best option. Plus this Galaxy set looks gorgeous.

I'm really sorry for bumping this, but this soundtrack is missing the various themes of the Comet Observatory as it "builds up" the music after you get enough Grand Stars. I'm also pretty sure it's missing some other themes, but I can't put my finger on which themes it is. So, with all due respect, this really isn't "the ultimate soundtrack" as you say...

With that said, I'm really glad that this soundtrack has alot of tunes or themes not featured on the Platinum version of the OST(since that one is the most complete one out of the two OSTs) and also the Level Introduction tune(I really like it for some reason).

I'm not trying to flame you, whine or anything like that. I'm simply trying to give constructive criticism on what I think about this soundtrack.

Short version/tl;dr: There's some themes missing, but I still like this OST because of songs not featured on Platinum OST.

I finished listening to this magnificent rip, but, at least to my knowledge, it lacks four tracks.
1) on the galaxy selection screen, the music that plays when you unveil the enemy base. you know, the "dark" music with bowser's roar on it.
2) the music that plays immediately afterwards, which is seriously different from the normal galaxy selection music. it has a darker sound.
3) the variation of the above music, which adds a short harp sequence.
4) the speed variations of the rolling sequence in Melty Molten Galaxy.

by the way, I already have 2 and 3.
if you have msn, pm me with the email and I'll send them to you so you can update the rip.
