so what is your favorite final fantasy

for me its like this: ff VIII (all time favorite game) close second ff VII a surprising third ff XII followed by ff tactics then ff IX then ff X then ff X-2 is my least favorite final fantasy so far and I haven't finished or don't have the rest of them but VI V IV I like them so far I also like Kingdom hearts I ad II and Dirge of Cerberus is pretty fucking awesome

VI is the best hands down. IX and IV tied.

XII is my favorite. I know it's not traditional FF, but I kinda like the new take on it

FFX is my all time favorite. FFXII is my replacement just in case my favorite blows up in the PS2 from overuse.

It's a 3 way tie: IX, VII, and IV. But it has been a long time since I played an FF.

My favourite is Final Fantasy IX then X, VII, VIII and XII.

I'd say VII first for getting me into the franchise, then X, IX, VIII and XII. Haven't played I - VI or XI.

Yes, I agree. The 'girl power' message was embarrassing, as was the pop song at the beginning. Yuna seemed like a completely different person. Also, I didn't like the 'rushed' combat. In X, you had time to plan out what you wanted to do, in X-2, it just happens too quickly. I didn't like that.

I tried the III remake for the Nintendo DS and the amount of grinding that was required overwhelmed me. It wouldn't have been so bad if the battles weren't so slow and phoenix downs were at least a little easier to come by. Not to keen on IV either but it may just be because it was the last FF I've played. I was mainly just sick of the classic battle system and I couldn't really get into the story.

Really enjoyed the time I spent on FF6 also, though never quite managed to get round to finishing it annoyingly as don't actually own a copy but borrowed one.

I'm going to admit that from what I played of FF8 I also really liked that one. But that was a long time ago. My attitude about it might well be different now if I was to play it again.
