I think that looking at the TV screen for too long has made you start to see things, to be honest. I don't think it looks that much like a Malboro head. Maybe slightly, but I seriously doubt that Square intended it that way.

I don't see any eyes but I can imagine it. Maybe you just need to take a brake ever two hours or so. The game might make you go dillusional if you play it too long.
