I will try to keep this thread updated as I obtain as many tracks as I can. These are all high-quality mp3s hosted on rapidshare. Enjoy what I have so far:

*EDIT*

Here is everything I've uploaded so far, in one WINRAR archive: http://rapidshare.com/files/111196303/Digimon_World_3_tracks.rar

Good way to begin.

Could I get the spacey Galacticmon theme and the Boss Digimon and Tamer fight themes? (If you take requests, of course)

I will try to get those. :)

I though I might contribute something to this thread - this soundtrack is something I have been searching for for a long time, and I have found/ripped a few tracks which I may as well share with you (I'll credit them where I can):

These are from KidMaJunior on YouTube
Central Park (http://rapidshare.com/files/83814995/Central_Park.mp3.html)
Training (http://rapidshare.com/files/83815004/Training.mp3.html)
Main Lobby (http://rapidshare.com/files/83815001/Main_Lobby.mp3.html)

These are from Panzerraptor, of this forum
Big Boss (http://rapidshare.com/files/83814994/Big_Boss.MP3.html)

Server Gym Leadner (http://rapidshare.com/files/83815003/Server_Gym_Leader.MP3.html)

The remaining tracks I ripped myself, so their quality may not be spectacular
Asuka City (http://rapidshare.com/files/83815796/Asuka_City.mp3.html)
Inn (http://rapidshare.com/files/83814999/Inn.mp3.html)

Thanks. I was about to upload some of these yesterday, but the site was down. I'll just omit any ones you just shared because it lags a bit in the beginning of the track because I use an emulator.

Here are some more tracks that I ripped. I was going to omit some that are already up, but I listened to both versions, and decided to keep mine up just in case. Note, however, that I use an emulator, so it might lag a bit in the beginning, and they may sound slightly different.

~Annihilated~ (http://rapidshare.com/files/84113752/Annihilated.mp3)
~Boss Battle 01~ (http://rapidshare.com/files/84113753/Boss_Battle_1.mp3)
~Boss Battle 02~ (http://rapidshare.com/files/84113754/Boss_Battle_2.mp3)
~Central Park~ (http://rapidshare.com/files/84113755/Central_Park.mp3)
~Heal Digimon~ (http://rapidshare.com/files/84113756/Heal.mp3)
~Inn~ (http://rapidshare.com/files/84113757/Inn.mp3)
~Lobby~ (http://rapidshare.com/files/84113758/Lobby.mp3)
~Main theme~ (http://rapidshare.com/files/84113759/Main_theme.mp3)
~Protocol Ruins~ (http://rapidshare.com/files/84113760/Protocol_Ruins.mp3)
~Save/Load Menu~ (http://rapidshare.com/files/84113761/Save.mp3)

~Training Gym~ (http://rapidshare.com/files/84114059/Training.mp3)

I'm working on getting others, especially the Suzaku City theme. It might be a while before I get to Galacticmon's themes, but I have a save that is right at the end of the game.

Thanks.

Don't worry about the lag at the beginning, I'm quite used to editing lag and loops out of music by now (Thank god for GoldWava and Audacity)

And I could mix some 'different' parts in. An emulator tends not to understand MIDI-style music that well.

little_cloud

... And yet even more. The credits theme is a tad skippy because it was ripped from an FMV sequence.

And, ggctuk2005, I finally got your Galacticmon music. ;)

Enjoy!

I used Goldwave for these, but I have no idea how to edit lags, so I did what I could do avoid them.

Just select tiny bits that sound like lag and delete them. Then, if you hear clicks, choose the Effects Menu>Filters>Pop/Click (Assuming you're using GoldWave 4.25 like me) and set it to 1000. That should get rid of any pops or clicks resulting from deleting lagged parts (I've fixed the only lagged file I have - Main Title)

Thanks for the Galacticmon stuff, BTW.

tell me if you guys can't use it for some reason- I like it way better than Rapidshare/Megaupload

How about those beach-y/jungle places past Jungle Grave? I forgot what those were, but either they had just SFX and no music, or...
I'm sure there was something! like, that boaty-harbor place outside Suzaku. didn't it have something? I don't remember, too young... D:
Also, what about the SFX stuff in Suzaku UG Lake? I used to listen to that to fall asleep~

I've heard there really is an OST out there, but a friend of mine only has a teaser version with about 4 tracks

hi, may i ask by what you rip the soundtrack from Digimon World 3, cos looks like the system was protected, i can get the music from DMW2, 1 , and Card Battle

but DMW3 cannot

everytyme i try to convert it ,my hacking program crash T.T

but, thanks a lot for sharing

highly appreciate

ggctuk2005
06-10-2008, 12:18 PM
No, it's not protected, it's a MIDI system, meaning you can rip the individual instruments but not the tracks. There have been no PSF releases so you have to do it the hard way - in-line or recording via emulator.

I've got a bit of news on this score (score, as in the situation, although I guess you can see the irony in the statement :D)

I recently obtained the ability to rip my own disc to ISO and it turns out the music is kept in a super-secret hidden folder (super secret until you write it to ISO :D). This folder has three in there, and one of the folders has one with "Sound" folder... which then contains many folders for each of the sound files. They're .BIN files, and I suspect the first BIN file in each folder is the instructions for the instruments, and the second file contains the instruments themselves. If I had a way of changing the instructions into MIDI files, I could then recreate the score because the MIDI instruments are easy enough to rip once you have the correct frequency for them (they're stored as simple wave files inside second BIN files). I daresay I could even use higher-quality instruments pulled from the Pokemon game soundfonts I have. However, the conversion will be what I am not so good at, because I have no idea how to convert the BIN file to a useable format. Any suggestions?

ggctuk2005
10-30-2011, 11:43 PM
So, is anybody going to be able to help me with this? I don't know how to turn the .BIN files into MIDI files. If I did, I would easily be able to rip the instruments from the game and use FL Studio to re-export the tracks completed - no emulation necessary. I can send samples if you need them.

If you mean you want to export it from BIN to MIDI, there is no way to do that, but you can convert PS1 EXE to PSF (Playstation sound format) ... but you have to learn assembly R3000 language for just reading these instructions from the exe to create that PSF ...

There is a guide for creating PSF files, but there is no video guide for that ...

I wasn't able to rip one game until now ... so good luck at all ...

Edit:

These BIN files are only contain VAB sounds or Streamed sounds ... but they are useless without Sequence instructions ...

Three years later...

Just to make you guys aware, somebody has actually converted the entire game's audio to PSF format. So anybody who can convert from PSF should be able to use this.

https://ipfs.io/ipfs/QmeJbYQ6X8MKuyqjs6bqDqmCB29atSWvDQPhHin74KGCfk/Digimon%20World%203%20PSF.7z

This means it is now 100% possible to have the music clean. I can get the MIDI data out using vgmtrans but unfortunately I don't have the kit to convert the sounds easily to go with the sequences.
