Well, I decided to share with me a really rare gem I found a little over a year ago (Fall/Winter 2006 or so) - I haven't been able to see/get it anywhere again and I've looked really hard. (30+ DC++ hubs and countless torrent/Google searches)

It's the complete score to American Psycho composed by John Cale - it's unreleased. I've tried to find some kind of promo-ish release information about it but to no avail, if anyone knows anything about it or have it in better quality then please help out.

I even wrote to John Cale and asked about it on his myspace and through his website but he didn't answer which was highly disappointing.

I'm a major fan of the film and book (I even used to be and dress just like him Bateman haha, friends used to call me Bateman xD I did look like him a lot though... Have some old pics somewhere for proof haha.)

Anyway here it is, enjoy this amazing gem!

Here's the sound quality info, as I said I'd love to see it in better quality, but it's still definitely listen-able and very very enjoyable!

not to say he wasn't good, but not once while watching american psycho did the idea spring to mind.

Bless your heart - Cale needs to get his soundtrack stuff together. This fills an important hole in my collection.

P.S. I'd guess he has little to no involvement in his web presence, so don't hold it against him.

I registered here simply for this soundtrack, so I wanted to say THANK YOU SO MUCH for uploading this. You're a god. I've been looking for this for about 3 years, but simply could not find it anywhere.

You have no idea what you have done for me. I am a current film major and I have a quip for soundtracks. Just like you I have been searching, like films such as "Sunshine" and "Spider-man 3" (bad example) have great scores but nothing released. Fox finally released sunshine on itunes but it isnt as great. Spiderman 3 nothing. I appreciate this with everything I have. Thank you so much.

Weird that the promo score doesnt contain the piano/violin cue without dialogue that's on the official soundtrack called "Film Monologue - 1"

Not sure why this is so rare and why it took you so long to figure out where it came from.
It's the isolated score from the DVD. Certain regions got it and certain regions didn't.

It says it's flac, but audiochecker says mpeg, and looking at the frequencies in audition it doesn't cross 15Khz, so it isn't lossless...

FLAC doesnt exist. Period.
Cale himself is almost uncontactable. This version that was originally posted here is often mislabeled as a Promotional Score but in actuality is a rip of the isolated score off an R4 DVD.

The quality on the isolated track is not great in the first place im assuming, but if one extracted the pure ac3 stream or converted to FLAC it would be much better than this version that is currently available.
