I Like "Forze del Male" as like "Dancing mad" and "Pipotron J's theme", And what's Your Fabs?

Thats an easy one. Sabrewulf's theme from Killer Instinct hands down. I have yet to find another organ based song that matches it. The beginning of "Hellfire" from Soul Cal 2, comes close, if only the whole song had been that way.

i have a cd with an organ version of 'hall of the mountain king', and also i have an mp3 somewhere with 'ride of the valkyries'... both of those are really enjoyable.

but for movies, i guess it is davy jones' theme from pirates 2.

and for games... hm... oh yeah - shadow of the colossus: premonition of revival, wins the grand prize :D

For actual classical music, you can't go wrong with Toccata & Fugue.

Movies... gonna have to go with teblad on this one - Davy Jones' theme kicked 17 different kinds of ass.

From a game... I'd have to go with a remixed version of Gothic Neclord from Suikoden 2 that I've got.

I third that emotion.

Oh man there are too many great organ tracks in games.

The Cathedral theme from Devil May Cry.
Illusionary Dance from Castlevania: Symphony of the Night is incredibly enchanting.
The Justice Ray Part 2 from Thunder Force V has an organ part that is just awesome.

Also, the "Underworld Temple" track from Devil May Cry (I dunno if that's the one Zukan referred to, but that one's awesome as well!)

Actually, I've gotta agree with pretty much everything mentioned thus far. Pipe organs are awesome. 'Specially the Hellfire opening from Soul Calibur II... I actually edited the track so that I just have that one minute opening part.

Heh, not everyone will remember this as well as I do, but I really loved the "Bowser in the Sky" theme from your last encounter with the aforementioned villain in Super Mario 64. I even tried to learn to play it on the piano/organ. I never mastered it.

I tried to think of come of my favorite classical music with pipe organ, but all I could come up with in the time I have available to make this post is Tomaso Albinoni's Adagio g-moll and Saint-Saen's Organ symphony. The first one is more sad than "dark," and the second one hardly has any organ until the middle of the second movement, and it's hardly "dark."

If you're talking about the final battle music... yeah, I remember that. That was an awesome tune. I'd forgotten about that!

i have two versions of Maestoso from Saint-Saens organ symphony #3 (because i think that is the part you are thinking of :D). I'll add them to my uploads to-do list if you want.

Haha, for a moment, I thought you were saying there was more than one Organ symphony. Turns out, it's his Symphony No. 3, popularly called Organ Symphony. I only have one version.

Speaking of Saint-Saens, teblad, do you have Carnival of the Animals? I would love to get that. To reduce confusion in this particular thread, I don't recall any organ in it.

i meant i had two different mp3 files (different recordings) of the same piece, and i was guessing that since the Organ Symphony is about 40 minutes long, the part of it we were talking about is the first 60 seconds of the Maestoso movement, which consists of trumpets and strings backing up a HEAVY pipe organ.

and i don't have carnival of the animals, sorry. :(

If you mean musical pieces that incorporate pipe organs, I've always liked Holy Orders (Be Just or be Dead) from Guilty Gear X. The organ both opens the piece and plays a big role in complimenting the guitar in certain points in the piece.

Chaconne c. Moll from the Saturn version of SotN. If there's something better than this in a game, I've yet to hear it.

Wow, you weren't kidding! Chaconne c-Moll could be the best example of this thread's title!

Some of the chord progressions seemed pleasantly familiar, but I couldn't quite put my finger on it. Prelude in C# Minor, by Rachmaninov, perhaps? Speaking of Prelude in C sharp minor, does anyone have that? I'd really like to get that, in piano or organ form.

EDIT: Actually, I used my directory searching thing I made in Flash and found a few recordings for piano. I still haven't heard what it sounds like for organ, though.

Is there anyway someone could put together a compilation of some of this music to download somewhere? I have no clue what most of this is that you are talking about (except of course the classical music). I would love to give a listen as I like darker sounding music. (Yes I know this isn't the download area but if I posted it over there no one would know what I was talking about without the thread context).

My favorite pipe organ comes from the gothic/neo-classical band MALICE MIZER.

Some examples:
