I spent the day off and on playing Metroid on NES, trying to get all of the energy tanks, missiles, etc. It took all day because I was playing off and on in between time with family and so I left my NES on all day. When I finally got to Mother Brain I died. That ruined my day because of the fact once you have to start all over, its a bitch trying to refill energy and missiles. Tell me your sad tales of gaming.

I just missed the Katana in Silent Hill 3. This isn't even about trying to do everything 100%. I've played this game before (w/o a FAQ) and got it. It's my favorite weapon in the game, and I MISS IT.

A similar thing happened to me with Sonic Adventure 2 Battle. I had 178/180 emblems and as my game was saving there was a power cut. When I restarted my game minutes later the save file was no longer there.
