I have decided to quit the game..

Well, even at Lv99 for all 3 characters equipped with either 2 Iron Dukes each or 1 Iron Duke and 1 Ribbon, they don't stand a chance at all against ordinary fiend encounters, not mentioning boss fights.

I got pass Cloister 80 after a long 10 minute battle with Chac, leaving with Paine at critical HP (yellow). I had survived that battle using a total of 10 Hero Drinks, 5 Mega-Elixirs, 10 Mega-Phoenix, and a couple Remedy. It appears that Dark Knight's stoneproof or Ribbon's stoneproof is useless. If this is the case, then how to survive Via Infinito? Chac appears as ordinary fiend encounter after Cloister 80 or so.

I made it to Cloister 90 and the battle starts off with Mushroom Cloud and Elder Drake. I got Paine to use Zantetsu, which is the fastest and most effective way in dealing with the Elder Drake. It only takes about 3 seconds to beat it, but...

Mushroom Cloud's Pernicious Cloud or whatever that was is equivalent in caliber to Malboro's Bad Breath. Its Stop+Berserk+Poison+Blind+Silence. In this case, there is no battle. At Lv99 with 2 Iron Dukes each, several maxed-out dresspheres, yet I was unable to land a single hit on either of them. What!? Due to the fact that all 3 characters had 9999 HP and 999 MP, as well as 255 Str and 235 Def, the battle dragged for 5-10 minutes, then game over.

I beat Via Infinito without an Iron Duke my first time around. Which is logical. I didn't get the Mascot Dress Sphere till I was around floor 90. I love using Berserkers so much. One of the bosses in Via becomes a total push over with them (he only attack physically and you have Evade + Counter).

There's always an element of luck though. Sometimes you can get instant KO'd and what not.

Shuyin isn't a challenge, at all. In the Cloister you'll meet enemies far more powerful than the normal bosses in the game.

yeah I noticed shuyin is really easy to beat.

I got through all the floors of Via after about 60 or 70 by just fleeing one or two characters, and reviving the dead ones after. No time to mess around killing giant tonberries.

I finished the cloisters.the easiest way to beat the enemies is to fully level up your girls.all the abilities of the gunner dress sphere.then keep everyone in yellow.i had the item which allows them to hit 9,999 each shot.it takes a few turns, but it gets the job done.

I normally get to about Cloister 40, but then I run out of MP for healing (in between battles). Is there an acessory that reduces MP cost to 0? I might be able to beat it if there is!

I just realized, your post seems VERY contradictionary.

Everyone has atleast one Iron Duke but you can't really beat the Cloister? You just need to know about your enemies to win. Common sense is what got me through it.

Elder Dragon? Have everyone use Berserker. He only attacks physically, yes he has Barrier so it will take a while to take him down, but still.

I beat elder drake and the other monsters till the last level easily.i had all girls in yellow with cat nip and made them all shoot at the same time.and if you have auto haste,it gives you more time to shoot.i was scared as hell of the elder drakes because they just rammed the wall and stuff.they seem to come out of no where.

Ragnarok. You get it if you made Rikku the culprit in the Ch. 5 Mi'hen Mystery. That, or you bribe Omega Weapon in the Farplane for Three Stars, which is difficult.

Uh... I don't know if I'm missing something here, but how can you have ANY Iron Dukes if you haven't beaten Via Infinito? Isn't that the only way to get them and the prize for completing it? I know, new game plus, but you seem to be implying you haven't made it at all. So how do you have the Iron Dukes?

You're talking about the Key to Success. Nope, I don't think that's an Iron Duke. You weren't using a cheat device were you? You can only get an Iron Duke once you beat Trema. Period.

Easiest way to beat Via Infinito.....
1. Have mad skills.... (Which is rare in this case)
2. Use cheats (But it's rather dishonest)
3. Use Catnip, keep party at yellow, Get SOS Haste, PUt your party at all gunner, use trigger happy. Easy win.
4. Have someone else do it for you.

I like option 3 better!

And if a person has 6 Iron Dukes and still can't beat Via Infinito when you can actually beat it with no Iron Duke then it shows that cheats don't pay off. (Unless it wasn't from a cheat but another person's file which in that case I hope our friend who asked the question will forgive me.)
