I'd say Black Waltz 3 in IX. So much emotion etc and quite a good difficulty.

the Final battle with Kefka in FF6

My favorite isn't a battle that you actually control but when the White Dragons pour out of the portal in FFIX is my favorite. All those Airships fighting just to protect the Invincible.

I don't think I could choose just one:

FFV - Battle with Gilgamesh on Xezat's Fleet or Enuo.
FFVI - Phantom Train or the monster that attacks Mobliz in the WoR.
FFVII - The Turks beneath Midgar.
FFIX - Nova Dragon, Beatrix (1st and 2nd fights) or Ralvuimago.

It's not my favorite but When you fight Ozma. I mean, what can be cooler then killing a planet?

The three "you're not alone" battles in Pandemonium in FF9. Still love those three battles. And yes, the silver dragon battle just before entering the portal to Memoria always rocks. I love the music for both scenarios, too.

To be technical(and an asshole), it uses a superlaser that is "composed of 8 tributary lasers with 4 backups if any of them should fail to ignite"...

Ultros, for the sheer comedy value.

Plus, the Turks in FFVII, Beatrix in FFIX, Seymour in X and Seifer/Edea in FFVIII. Basically, I prefer battles where there are multiple encounters with that enemy and you can build up a backstory and history. Don't know why, I just do.

How can nobody say Braskas Final Aeon. The battle was epic, the music accompanied the tone of the battle well. Who doesn't love a good father v. son battle?

Ultros. Ultros. And Ultros.

i think most battles from IX are great,especially that Zorn and Thorn,true is annoying but the battle was really challengable

1. FF7 - Jenova Battles. Especially 2nd after Aerith dies.
2. FF9 - Zorn + Thorn
3. FF8 - Battle against Edea herself
