Here, I want to point out a little flaw I found in X-2. I'm only going to recommend that people use this guide for expirimental purposes only. Pros probably know, I just found it out while playing around with the battle system oversouling random enemies. We're going to focus on a monster called Queen Coeurl.

OK first for this to work, I'm goin to recommend you be at least about level 34. You'll need a thief, and you will need to be able to quickly kill the robots and monsters on Mi'hen road. Two maps south of Mushroom Rock's entrance, on that road near the prophet's house where the Machina gone Wild incidents take place. In my party, I had a thief with the Master thief skill and two gun mages with Dissmantler. The gun mages make quick work of just about anything on that road. I equipped a lure bracer to create more spawns, and this is why..

You want to kill fast as possible, especially focusing on Queen Coeurl, as you want to oversoul her. If she's too strong for you,cast borrowed time on her with your thief. When she oversouls don't kill her. You want to steal an item called Mortal Shock. Mortal Shock enables death touch. Do this three times, and you will have three Mortal Shocks for Riku, Yuna, and Paine.

Also, with Master Thief - you can steal ethers from Queen Coeurl. Right now I have three Samurai with Hayate + Death Touch, but only using it to level my Samurai skills then I'm gonna probably focus on Trainer.

But yea, have fun.

This would probably be more useful if FFX-2 wasn't painfully easy already. Still interesting though, I guess. I never bother with stealing though so I'll probably never try it.

Instant death often doesn't work on stronger monsters or bosses, which are the only ones where it would be particularly useful anyway...

Well, its fair for gaining levels quickly and useful if you need to make fast work of weak monsters, like oversouling them to steal their rare.

The only powerful fiend that Zantetsu works on would be Elder Drake of Via Infinito. For some reason, the Elder Drake sort of resembles the old Ruby Dragon.

I had tried Zantetsu on Mega Tonberry, Chac, etc.. It misses every hit.
