i have just recently decided i want to try to draw XD I think i'm doing alright for never attempting to draw a human face, let alone manga style. Give me some feedback on this, i worked on it a bit last night. I need tips, especially on shading and hair. Thanks.

As for recommendations, I have none. I'll re-edit with some if I come up with any. I'd just like to say a very most awesome pic. For your shading, well it depends what way the character is looking. Away from light, then more shading. Looking into light, less shading. Shadding usualy tends to go to the curves of the nose and a little beneath the bangs of the hair.

If you want a tip.. Play around with the hair a bit more. Anime/manga hair is drawn in big seperate strands, not one hair by one hair. There's some tutorials for it on the 'net, you might wanna look into those :)

The face seem ok.. I couldn't draw faces profile views when I just started, so that's a big plus for you ^^

you see, my problem is drawing like a 3/4 view tilted either way. i get the eye proportions all messed up and everything looks no good. i'm really trying though, i've been practicing non-stop for the last week and gotten better in my opinion. thanks for all the tips and good things to say, positive people are the best.

My advice to you for 3/4 view is to go to www.howtodrawmanga.com and if you don't have time for that I could send you a few little turorials. PM me if you want them. :D good luck

Well, it looks good if this is your first time for a human-like figure...seems like anything more than what I could do. You could change some of the shading, but I really think it's good. o_0
