The new NiGHTS game was finally released in Japan yesterday with no delay for release, with the American version out next tuesday on the 18th. The OST has already been slated for a January 18th slot and you can find the track listing here: http://gonintendo.com/?p=31578

If anyone can rip any tunes from the game before the OST is out that'd be cool, I loved the origionals music and the 1 VS 1 race music remixed from the old game sounds amazing. Thanks.

I'm getting the game, and if it touches me like I expect it will.. as this i my first Nights game, I might be motivated to learn to rip ps2 music.

I'm picking the game up on Tuesday and probably will try my hand at recording some tracks if I can. I've already heard a few of them in videos on YouTube and have already decided I'm preordering the soundtrack. If I can't rip them and no one beats me to it, I can always upload the CD itself. ^_^

EDIT: Forgot to say, the OST is going to be a 3-disc set, so it'll be uploaded by me anyway, regardless of whether or not the game gets ripped beforehand. There's going to be a LOT of music in there.

I'm new here and I'm also looking for NiGHTS Journey of Dreams Music. Sparksterchan, do you think you can rip three of music in the game (Reala boss battle, Dreams Dreams Remix in the last stage, and Dreams Dreams at the end of the game.

I got the game to I've played a bit of it and the game is okay but the music is great can't wait till someone rips all the tracks

Okay, seeing as you can't play the music with the game paused... anyone know if there's a way to rip the music from Wii games yet?

EDIT: Err, okay, never mind. I just beat Will's side and you get a sound test. No ripping tonight, but over the weekend I should be able to get some tracks done. ^_^

If you could rip some of the tracks that would be awesome, I'm definitely going buy the ost when it comes out but If I could get a few tracks using alternative means before then I'd be so graceful

Okay, regarding the rip... A sound effect plays before each track starts. Some of the tracks have intros that open the song and aren't played again, so I'm recording everything from the sound effect on. Not sure how annoying that'll be for some people (I've already gotten used to it ^^; ), but I didn't want to do a fade-in thing. Every track is going to repeat once except things like Dreams Dreams that have a set ending.

I've got some of it done: The Dreams Dreams mixes at the top of the list, Dream Gate, and the miscellaneous things at the bottom. I'm going to do the boss battles next, then the levels. A few tracks are still missing from my list, and I'm not sure how to get them, but if I get them unlocked after I complete this thing, I'll try recording them, too.

Those missing tracks are the "Into Dreams" soundtrack, so don't worry about them.

Cool cool, cheers Sparksterchan. Be sure to post the link here when you're done recording, I don't think the Sound Effect will matter at all. The OST is out next month anyway. =P

I'm not as well-versed in ripping as most people on these forums. I'm doing line-in recordings and using Audacity, so it's straight from what's playing, not from data on the disc. I'd wait for someone else to do it, but I'm not sure how many people actually have this game and I was going to record tracks to hold me over anyway. ^^; If anyone else can do it sans sound effect, that's fine. I'm not fretting over it since the OST will be out in less than a month.

You know... having game music being ripped by people to the best of their ability isn't the right of any one of us, it's only a privilege. This website, hosting all this VG music, anime music, and everything else at your fingertips is also just a privilege... These things could be revoked from any of us around here at the drop of a hat, with a simple ban.

Update on the rip:

I'm missing four tracks on my list: One under "Dream Gate", three below "My Dream - A". Highly doubt they're from the original OST. Someone on another forum has beaten the game with all A ranks and has said the entire original soundtrack is added to the list of songs.

Anyway, I should have it up tomorrow. Would've liked to have had it up today, but I'm heading back home in a bit and don't have time to upload it. ^^;

Sorry for the double post, but when you get all A ranks for both kids, you just unlock the original NiGHTS into Dreams OST. I don't know about the dreams drops though, the only solution I can think of the last four songs is if you were to visit someone else's My-dream garden. I guess technically, I didn't RIP it so much as just record from the sound test. XD I'm not sure it's possible to rip from a Wii game yet... but yeah, just plugged the audio cables into the back of my computer and loaded up Audacity. I did the same with Elebits a while ago since it lets you play the music without starting a mission. :)

Yeah, I didn't have everything when I did it and had no clue how to unlock the rest. ^^; I did notice My Dream - B unlocked once I had about 25 or so 'pians in my garden. I left the game at my other home, so I won't be able to get that track recorded until Friday night. I guess underneath that are C and D themes? Maybe the music changes every 20 you get... anyone have 60 or 80 Nightopians who can vouch for this?

The theme that played during the holidays was the Spring Valley Christmas music from Christmas NiGHTS, which I THINK is on GH somewhere. I'm at work, so I don't want to check now.

for those that don't know, get the ost to christmas nights. its got a beautiful 5 min live orchestral intro track. its a more agressive track using the night's theme. if you like action in your music that's for you.
