Since I did this for the gaming section, I'd thought it'd be interesting to see the resuts for anime and manga people.

Even with "easy access to all the [anime] sites on the internet now" (Prak, 2007), it may save you time if you avoid the hourly RSS checking for a few months.

Does anyone have a subscription to an anime/manga magazine? Does anybody have recommendations for a good one? I myself am partial to Newtype (which is apparently far superior to Animage).

What are you sources?

Noted On-line sources:
AnimeBlogger.net (various) - http://antenna.animeblogger.net/
AnimeNation - http://www.animenation.com/

Noted Magazines:
Dengeki
Megami Magazine

Actually I tend to web surf all the time and happen to pick up my animes from there....

though I usually look at youtube and look for some that doesn't seem familiar...

Seriously:

I usually go to Animenation and ask opinions on different anime/manga titles.
I never really got into the monthly Manga serials or mags. Mostly 'cause they're full of ads rather than content. Most of the time I just go about the way I've always chosen titles. Pick-up an interesting manga and read the first few pages. If I get into it, I buy it.
With anime, I read the plot summary on the back, and buy it if it sounds like a good anime to watch.

Most anime mags I buy are artbooks or Megami....

Does anyone know how the Anime Protoculture Addicts magazine ranks up? I believe it's somewhat linked to the ANN website. I find ANN really messy for news though, so I'm not sure what to think of a publication version of them.

Yes I believe it does, I see Photoculture ads in ANN many times, therefore connection is made...
