Ok Lets try to solve this confusion. There are a lot of Chrono Trigger albums indeed, but the real problem comes with the american release that is missing some tracks. So if you want the music I recomend that you get those bellow:

The original SNES Version - Chrono Trigger OSV
http://www.chudahscorner.com/soundtracks/index.php?catalog=PSCN-5021%7E3

The playstation arranged tracks plus some of SNES - Chrono Trigger OST
http://www.chudahscorner.com/soundtracks/index.php?catalog=SSCX-10039

Dont bother getting those "music from Final Fantasy Chronicles"

But you must know that the OST dont have the tracks that play in the gallery menu. This was only released by rip. If you want, I can share.

You are welcome. If you want those extra tracks I upload to you too, just send a message.

Did you really find this? http://www.vgmdb.net/db/albums.php?id=2608
With all 57 tracks in it? Please upload if you can. I am really dying to get this OST to complete the old collection of with the voices.

I also made a small website with everything I have so check it out.

And Zidane, are you sure that SNES - Chrono Trigger OST has PSX versions of OST?"music from Final Fantasy Chronicles" seemed a better choice to me

I shall answer this question too :)

Let me tell you about all of the official chrono trigger albums that was released so far:

-Chrono Trigger Original Sound Version (OSV) (http://www.chudahs-corner.com/soundtracks/index.php?catalog=PSCN-5021%7E3) was released in 1995 and contains 3 CDS with SNES music. (it was reprinted in 2004)

-Chrono Trigger Original Soundtrack (http://www.chudahs-corner.com/soundtracks/index.php?catalog=SSCX-10039), this album is also called "Chrono Trigger '99" or the "Chrono Trigger PSX OST".
This album does Not contains all the songs of the PSX game, but only contains 21 of the best tracks from the OST and has 9 arranged songs that play during the game's anime cutscenes. (this album was reprinted in 2005)

-Chrono Trigger Official Soundtrack: Music From Final Fantasy Chronicles (http://www.chudahs-corner.com/soundtracks/index.php?catalog=TPCD+0209-2).
This album is pretty useless, this is an "american release/replica" of the OST album (see above), since the 23 first tracks (on 25) of this album are the same.. and the last 2 tracks comes from the following album:

-Chrono Trigger: The Brink of Time (http://www.chudahs-corner.com/soundtracks/index.php?catalog=PSCN-5024) This albums is a collection of 10 arranged songs that are jazzy/upbeat. (it was also reprinted in 2004)

I hope that clear a few questions. And helps Chrono Trigger Fans. ;)

First thanks for the link. I will check it out and tell you later.
Sorry KnighTeen if I was not very clear. I thought that you were talking about that re-arranged anime tracks from the PSX Version.
To complete things, I have a ripped music from the gallery mode. The tracks are:

01 - Rat-a-tat-tat it's Mitsuda
02 - One Sunny Day When We Met
03 - Scattering Blossoms
04 - A Meeting With Destiny
05 - Time To Rest - After the Battle

If you join the OSV, the OST and these extra tracks you will have all chrono trigger music.

what are these "Garou Densetsu 1 The Battle of Destiny OST" and "Ryuuko No Ken Ten Chi Jin AST" albums?i have never heard 'em?

These are probably:
Garou Densetsu 1 (Fatal Fury 1) normal ost, the game is often sub-titled "The Battle Of Destiny", or at least it is for the Genesis game.

Ryuuko No Ken Ten Chi Jin is "Art Of Fighting Collection" from PS2.
This one do not have any official album, so it is an AST game rip :)

Yes it is almost that. One is Art of Fighting Collection but I prefer the japanese names. It is really good rip of the game all in AST versions that I found in Shadowhaxor. I dont know if is complete since I dont have this game yet.

The Garou Densetsu is just the Last Resort album renamed. Since I dont like those songs I prefer to edit the album that way makes more sense to me, and take only Garou.

Thank you for clearing that up. I have been looking for Chrono Trigger '99 forever. I really just need the 9 arranged tracks (i love the orchestrals). However, all of the postings put up the original snes OSTs without the additional 9 tracks. Does anyone have these tracks?

also, i'm newb :( i can't figure out how to pm someone either. thanks!!!

Sorry for reviving this but i need to know how does this (http://vgmdb.net/album/18) compare to this one (http://vgmdb.net/album/13754). I want to keep one version of the soundtrack in my collection so which one is better? Or are they in fact the same? (never mind the extra tracks in DS version...)
