1: You should have access to Cerobbi steppe. When you do which is towards the end of the game, like two or three story events before the end, just zone between the two areas until it's raining in Tchita. It won't rain by zoning back and forth inside one area like Cerobbi Steppe.

2: Get the guide for chrissake. It may have conditions to be met like destroying all enemies in the area the deathscythe is supposed to appear, or all enemies of a certain type and then waiting at the intersection of a deadend ally and a northbound hallway if this is the right creature.

I tried zoning between cerobi and Tchita, i guess i'll try again... and i think the guy from the clan would tell you if you needed to do something that specific.

You should go to Cerobbi while it's cloudy weather and not go there when it's raining. Also ,weather changes usually triggers by an hour or two,so just dont waste your time running through zones if you dont have to.And make sure you're at the right place.

for the Deathscythe to appear, 2 of your characters have to be in critical HP when you enter the area that it is in

head over to http://www.gamefaqs.com and search for Final Fantasy XII, scroll down and find the 'Mark Hunting Guide', it has all the hunts on there for you if you get stuck

To get lyndwyrm to appear you have to be in the area when it's cloudy yes if it's raining just walk back then forward a screen till it goes away. I did this one recently and it shows up in a spot on the map beneath the highlands area but ONLY WHEN IT'S CLOUDY (just make sure it's raining but not raining in that place where you find it.) To get it to rain walk back and forth from phon coast to tchita uplands the weather will change. word of advice though lyndwyrm uses renew like twice so go prepared. watch the lv. 4 break it uses to. it affects anyone who's a multiple of 4 so try to throw your levelage a little. if you need any further help just leave a post I'll do what I can as for deathscythe make sure two party members are dead and he'll appear. just switch to your other party and let him have it. just watch out he likes to use MP reducing attacks.

That should sum it all up for ya!

One thing about Lindwyrm: although the petitioner references 'The Highlands' zone, the mark actually appears to the south in a zone called 'Garden of Life's Circle'. It took me hours of going in and out of The Highlands, only to find that I was given the wrong directions in the first place when I decided to check the rest of the Uplands. -_-

NO wonder, thanks guys, i was thinking about how i had already gone there when it was raining and at another time when it was cloudy, and with deathscythe, is it ok if you just have one party member in the party and not have 2 dead?

No you have to have two deceased members present. It's kind of like the fight with Urthros and needing all female characters present for him to appear.

Also ,weather changes usually triggers by an hour or two,so just dont waste your time running through zones if you dont have to.

That's only in the Giza Plains Wet/Dry circumstance where a Seeq in the south entrance to Rabanastre will tell you how close it is in time to either.

I'm not too sure on this one but I seem to recall about halfway or so into the necrohall. There was lot's of other enemies in the room with me when it appeared and made things worse for that unlucky one character of mi

If I had to guess though I'd start in the cloister of the highborn. Just watch out for his annul ability. it reduces your MP to zip. so carry ethers.

The easiest way to get the Deathscythe to appear is to cast Bio (causes Sap) on one or two characters and wait til it appears. Then, cure your party members or switch in your other team to fight it.

Since it uses Annul I used the weakened team to pull off a Quickening Chain (cos I was going to lose my MP anyway), then finished it off with the others.

Also, it is a lot easier if you kill all the enemies in the area first, as they can be a right pain in the arse.
