eSnips used to have painless downloads, all you had to do was register. Now, however, they've apparently been "found out" or whatever, and now it's 1 less site to use for our uploads. I'm starting to think we may actually run out of sites to use.

And in totally unrelated news...the AntiChrist has arrived.

Seriously, why do sites shoot themselves in the foot like this and alienate 90% of their users? Almost like the way Comcast does with their download caps.

Most likely "do or die" ultimatums from the big music companies, since eSnips had just about any song.

There is a way to get around the downloading problem, albeit temporarily (they'll find out about the hidden downloading sooner or later). When your in a music file page, you see where the "doc" is in the URL bar? Put in "ns" next to "doc", and the file will automatically download. I don't know how long it'll be before esnips goes FBI on us, so we'll just have to hang in there.

Or you can use the Firefox extension Video DownloadHelper. It enables you to download media files from MySpace, YouTube, eSnips, etc. Download (https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/3006)
