Wich Final Fantasy had the best ending?

Final Fantasy 9, definitely!

Loved it! Rebeat it just to watch the ending again. If you take a look at my avatar, that says it all. :D

Final Fantasy X.

It was the best cause it actually wasn't a happy ending... huge credit to Square for actually giving it a sad ending than a happy ending.

*SPOILERS* like you hadn't already guessed =).

I would have to say that FFX had the best ending. I'd say FFVIII is a close second, but the way that Square didn't back out on the sad ending setup really surprised me. I thought that there would be some way for Tidus to stay.

No I don't count him in the ocean at the end as a comeback. When you go back and talk to all the fayth they say they will build him an ocean to swim in after he fades away. I think that last image is just them holding true to their word.

VIII Had a good ending because it tied it all together so well, and was so emotional. I still say that X beats it though.

On bad endings, I'd have to say that VII was a dissapointment, IV was only ok.

I'd rank VI and IX as good but not the best, that's X's claim in my opinion.

FF7 because it leave the end open. The problem with 8 and 9 was that everyone was too happy in the end.

i havent played 10, so id have to say 8. i bet 10 is better tho.

I think FF 8 and 9 had the best endings, but I bet 10 will be THE best though I have only played a deom of it.

Since FFX is still waiting to be released here (1 more month) I haven't played it yet, although I could have seen the ending a million times already and such xD
Anyway I would have to go for FF8. It was the end of the game, the end of the horror show o_o

As good as FF7 is, FF9 does have the best ending of the lot.

Im still waiting for FFX over here.....so I'd say FFVIII had the best ending followed by FFVII. I thought FFIX's ending was a bit disapointing.

im still waitin for ff 10 and ff anthology to be released later this month so i would have to say ff7s was by far the best as it was total FMV and action,next ff 8 that was a great ending but slighty confusing and ff 9 last beacuse there was just not enough action or FMV for me,and just now im 20 hours through ff 6 so ill see how it goes:p

Even though FF8 was not the best game...the ending beats them all. It was so kewl and stuff. The music playing and everything...Zell chokeing on the hotdogs in the credits XD. It was all good.

I'd have to say FFX had the best. I never beat VIII and IX though. Never beat VIII just because i didn't really like it and never beat IX because I had one of those 300+ blocks memory cards and it corrupted all of the data on it. I spent so much time getting right before the final dungeon then I saved. When I went to load it again it said cannot load memory card corrupted. I lost all of the data on it.

FF7. Nothing beats an unhappy ending. FFX's was okay, but you saw it coming. In FF7, you expected the meteor to be destroyed, but it wasn't. FF9's was good, but it also was too predictable. For me, nothing beats a good surprise unhappy ending. Even though they tried to make them talk (unsuccessfully) in FF7, it didn't take that much away. I never beat FF8 because it was too agonizing to play, so I don't know about it.

FF8 cos of the good graphics and the story that goes with it ^_^.
