I just started playing a new game of FF9..

I have played, and beaten it before... but due to it's great story, and such... I decided to play it again.

Question : Do you think this game is good enough to play through twice?

I think yes. I agree it is MUCH easier now that I know everything... but.. I am replaying it for the story. I thought the story in this game was great. The ending was great too..

So, do you think that you would be able to play this game through without being bored?

Definetely. I plan to replay 9 once I beat it, which isn't too far away. I've played EVERY FF over atleast 5 times. 7 at most with....too many @.@ But I've started about 2 new games (one other because I lost my memory card for a weekend).

Yes, FFIX is great....great characters, great storyline, even great graphics...FMV scenes are just killer..

Apocolypse> ABSOLUTELY!!! I've replyed the game several times now, just to revisit the world over again. And each time, I pick up something new, try something different... and every time I've played it, it just gets better. :)

And I agree about the characters and the ending. These were some of the most loveable characters that I've seen in a game. I actually CARED about them. The ending gets me misty-eyed every time. The FMVs are among the best. And it's just a game that I play for the pure fun and enjoyment.

To answer your question, Apocalypse, I shall tell a story (because I like to drag things out and make people bored in the process.)

I got Final Fantasy IX at the end of January, 2001. I made the effort to carry my Playstation down in a travel bag at great peril to its health from my home to my halls room at Uni. I got the game two days before it was meant to be released (Game had it in early or summit.) And I played. And I enjoyed the game. I enjoyed going through it, and building up the characters and the immense storyline. The ending was very moving.

As with all previous Final Fantasises I've played (well, VII and VIII being the only other two) I started to play again in the summer, around about August...

... It's now April. Zidane is still sat on disk 1. I cannot garner the motivation to play through the game a second time. I just can't. I've tried to get back in the game. I pick up the controller, load the file, listen to the beautiful MIDIs in the background, and then enter a battle. I fight the battle, save and then switch off. I just can't be bothered to go through the game. It won't hook me in as it did first time through.

I seriously thought when this happened, that I had started to grow out of games. However, I played through Suikoden again no trouble, and I also played through and completed Breath of Fire IV. I am having trouble played Final Fantasy VI though, and this is my first time playing through it.

In final summing up, it depends on who you are whether or not you want to play through the game again. If you've got the motivation, do it, and maybe you'll enjoy the game even more. One day, I may try to play through it again, but today and for the seeable future, I just don't have the motivation to do so.

FF9 is the only FF game that i wouldnt play again. I played it through to the end once, lost me save, then started and finished it again. It just bores me now.

I can promise, you won't get bored. I've beat the game 7 times and I still don't get bored to it... I laugh to the same things over and over, still get exited about that scene before they go to Memoria, still surprise in the ending...

I'm an odd one, I know, but believe me, it's the same over and over...

Well, if I buy another one, I will DEFINATELY play it again, but Disc 2 and Disc 3 are SO messed up now, I'm not even gonna try it. I would really like to. I've started two other games because of something STUPID that I did and saved, and both times, I was as hooked as I was at the beginning of playing the first time! I just LOVE that game. I'd play it as many times as possible if I could. It's just great.

Well, FF9 was the only FF I actually cared enough about to beat on my own for the story, and not cuz I had it. Well, anyways, yeah, I got it December 2000, and it was fun then...

I might have to replay it again, my parents want to see it again.

<font color=red face="comic sans ms">I found FF9 to be quite boring at times, but I've played through it twice now, and I've started a third game. I think FF7 and FF8 have more replay value than FF9, although FF9 is still a good game. Maybe it's because I don't play games anywhere near as much as I used to, and I find it more boring now. Well, I dunno. ;)

Yeah, FF9 is good. But for playing through it a fourth time? I don't think I will. Not for a while anyway. ;)
