A question to all. From one to ten what do you think is the rarest games.

No question about it, FF2. FF2 wasn't released ANYWHERE outside of Japan. Also, I know it's not FF, but Chrono Trigger is also a rare SquareSoft game. I heard rumour that it was originally supposed to be an FF. But, that's only a rumour, and I don't intend to make a thread about it. Anyway, FF2. And the original 1 and 3...yes...

definitely not FF2. there are many more japan only releases, and
even then FF was a somewhat popular series.


I'm not sure of what the rarest games are. perhaps a NEO GEO
or PC Engine special release. they started with only a few hundred copies made. the people buying them aren't too quick to sell.

if we're talking about console releases.

U can get FF2 for a snes emulator. I for one have the FF2 translated version.

Tactics Ogre for PSX is pretty rare, I think.

Definitely all three NES FFs i have never even seen them...i mean the cartridge and box.

Since there were only a few copies of it, it's very rare.

But a place around here has a lot of games... for almost every system... but no GT =P

DBGT: 10000 print run. which is 4000 more than panzer dragoon saga, and 5000 more than dragon force.


It's very popular. so look for it on ebay and there should be copies pooping around.

Definately WarCraft 2 for Playstation. I only saw 2 copies of it ever in 5 years! I wa slucky enough to have one . . . but then my stupid brother and sister ruined it. -.-'

warcraft2 for psx is rare 0.o bah i sold my for 6 bucks just the other day :mad: well anyways the rarest game in my mind is DBZ ultimate battle 22 i was offered 200 bucks buy the guy at the comic book store down the street from me but i told him to shove it.

I say the Smurfs game for the Colecovision, most people don't even know it exists and I have one, even though I don't think anyone would want to buy a colecovision game anymore.

Some rare games i have come across of late are GTA director's cut: 1969. My friend lent it to me and he's forgotten i have it . Any bids? Well another rare game that i happened to trade in at EB was Armored Core: Master of Arena. As soon as i traded it in like 3 people were begging the guy at the counter for it. Another rare game is Psychic Force for Psx. i had the sequel for dreamcast. and came around the original at an old video store called video world. The original Ridge Racer for PsX was also there. This blockbuster in new hampshire i goto sometimes, is like super outdated and i found some pretty rare games there too like: Warcraft II for PsX, Spiders for PsX, and Overkill for PsX. Most of the Games up there were in the old cardboard cases for Plastation! By the way, i have an Atari Jaguar and about five games

Dragon Force....ah I sold it to funcoland a couple of years ago in order to get a damn gameboy color and pokemon yellow....it's sad

I would say Resident Evil: Director's Cut. I really want that but can't seem to find it anywhere.:(

how bout dragon power for the snes. Thats rare right?

Ogre Battle for the SNES. at one time, ENIX WAS PAYING PEOPLE 500 BUCKS to re-purchase them. also, ANother Snes game: Lufia and the Fortress of Doom. Secret Of Mana, Mystic Quest, Top Gear 2000, and, last but not Least....MARIO RPG

I once DID have RE: Director's Cut. But then it got scratched bad, and I ended up swaping it for a regular RE at a rental store. I see the difference. RE1 is more cheezier in graphics. But that's about it.

Also, I do believe that another rare game is Wu-Tang for PSX. It's the Wu-Tang clan, 3D fighter style. I have it somewhere, but it's lost, and by the time I fidn it, it'll be inplayable.

Also another rare game is a lot that were features on the Sega Channel for the Sega Genesis. Shining Force, Streets of Rage 3, Dynamite Heady. Great games.

FF Mistic quest, origional cartror sompin like that, the age is very rare. FF1 for nes, hard to find. FF2 for snes, is very rare also.

I would have to say that Front Mission 3 for the PSX is a rare game. Had to get mine off of ebay.
