Ok, So have I all the weak elementals, like fire, water, etc. and all but Watera and Aerora, or whatever. When do I get the rest, like Firaga and bubbles, or something? I just killed the judge in Mt Bur-Omisace. Does it come soon? Your responses are valuable to me!

The level 2 elemental magicks (ie Fira, Thundara, Blizzara) should be available now in Rabanastre. You don't start getting the level 3 elemental magicks until Archades, when Aeroga becomes available. The others become available shortly after that.

Cool. Thanks man. Also, just a quick question. What does float do? Is that just something for fun?

Float allows you to pass above traps (these red beam thingy that are scattered here and there on the field that will put you under status conditions -- blind, sap and the likes) without activating them.

Float's also pretty useful when you fight an earth elemental esper near the end of the game, as it helps you avoid pretty much all his attacks.

Now Vanish, on the other hand, is pretty much useless. It only helps you avoid very specific enemies under very specific conditions. Man, was I pissed when I realised I'd spent thousands of gil on Vanishga to find out it was a colossal waste.

Float is awesome for avoiding those traps --- it's best to set up a Gambit to keep it on all the time.

Float wasn't so great, several "trap" had pay-offs, just put libra on 24/7. I don't mean just go around jumping into traps, but some can give Major health boosts, Good status effects, and IIRC gil.

Mmm, maybe. I never really searched around for those traps or found them all that useful.

Yeah, if you found them it was a freak/lucky accident. Or you used a walk-through. Some are obvious though.

Ok thanks you all. I was also going to ask about vanish and if that does anything since it lasts like 5 seconds, but Ceidwad_yr_Arfau answered that for me. Thanks again.

The 'good' traps basically just restore a bit of HP or MP. Most traps are exceedingly annoying. I don't use a gambit for float, but I always have Libra on all characters. Usually this is enough to avoid traps. I couldn't handle the constant MP wastage that would come with a Float gambit, to be honest.

I remember one gave, the Regen status affect.

Float is very useful later in the game. I forgot to save (Hence I was low life) when I ran into an esper fight. Luckily I was using float to avoid any traps, and realized it stops his 'Quakeja' attack.

I use float in specific places:

Cerobi Steppe, Tchita Uplands, Sochen Cave Palace, and Nam/Ogir-Yensa Sandsea. Those place are notorious to me for major trap areas.

Man, the only one I recognize is Nam/Ogir-Yensa I just recentely killed the judge in Mt. Omi whatever, so try not to spoil it for me. Thanks!
