As I said, I just recently got a brand new Ps2, but with no games, so I need some suggestions. I haven't been following the market, so I'm at a loss. I want horror games, as I am tired of all of those cutesy games for my Cube.

Horror games! I need suggestions.

Silent Hill 2 and Silent Hill 3 are pretty good. Silent Hill 4 worths a try (but first play 2 and 3).

I heard that the Eternal Darkness series are great Horror games, but you may have them on the Cube.

Forbidden Siren 1&2 are also good horror games for you to try.

Enjoy ;)

Resident evil 4 is one of the best horror games on the PS2, though I imagine you may already have this on the cube.

Well since the PS2 is backwards compatible, maybe Clocktower (PS1) if you can find a copy.

ROKI

Well RE4 is good on the survivar part, but when it comes to pure horror, a lot of other series are much better. I just think the idea of RE is not scary anymore

It never really was until you buy the game turn the volume all the way up and play in the dark. Their Soundtrack and soundfx are shit-your-pants-fantastic.

Resident evil 4 is scary and pretty fun.

The graphics for the PS2 version weren't as good as the gamecube version. But the PS2 version did have an added weapon or two and other additional stuff.

SSX Tricky

I agree.

A looped chorus from Run-DMC's It's Tricky, each time you successfully execute an ber trick, would instill fear and impending irritability amongst us all.

Then, there's Psymon...

Way to prove your horrible taste. Spryo's transition from PS to PS2 was not a great difference. Unless you just hate Spyro.

TM
11-01-2007, 03:14 AM
Actually I loved Spyro on PS1, his change over to the PS2 was awfull, stupid loading times, non responsive controls, horrible slowdown and it's waaaay too short, this is mainly towards Spyo 4, but the others don't look soo hot either.

jewess crabcake
11-01-2007, 03:17 AM
non-responsive controls? And loading times don't exactly discredit a game. What's a horrible slowdown?

TM
11-01-2007, 04:11 AM
Sort of like lagg on a computer, it happens every soo often and it's annoying, as is those load times, maybe they don't count towards the games credibility, but they are still annoying, and with the non responsive controls, you could try to make a glide and due to the slowdown and how slow spyro moves it can be a pain in the ass to get the glide right.

RE4 because everyone says so. I'll play it one day, I swear :o

Then, of course, Silent Hill. All of them, even if I've only played 3, so far. Speaking of which, I'm starting a play through of that RIGHT NOW.

RE 4 is it's own game and well done, I might add. Be on the look out for RE 5 which reportedly features the old U.M.B.R.E.L.A. special forces officer, HUNK, Zulu.

Uhh... Eternal Darkness is a (fantastic) game for the Gamecube. That's it. It's not a series, and it's not multiplatform.

God of War. Ratchet and Clank. I really liked Silent Hill 2. Resident Evil 4. Mega Man Anniversary collection is also nice to have.

The Resident Evil series; they're all good - especially RE4. The Silent Hill series as well. Also God of War 1 & 2 if you like Devil May Cry, which is I may add, another you might be interested in. But should you venture into DMC, don't buy the second one as it is surely disappointing.

Glad someone else knows about 'Fatal Frame'. Another one I thought was quite creepifying was "Clock Tower III" - apparently it's like "Alone In the Dark" according to friends (but I've never played that one before).

I haven't played any horror games in at least two years, so I'm probably behind on the most up to date stuff. Let us know what you decide on getting!

The Fatal Frame series are actually a good horror game for the PS2. It's actually scary. Plus, the characters are sooo pretty! <3

RE4 is also good. Lots of thrills and chills, and not to mention, chainsaws. Plus, two new weapons that are not available for the Cube. The graphics on the GameCube version are much better though, imo! =/

Silent Hill 2
Silent Hill 3
Resident Evil 4 (though, its not really a Resi game)
Resident Evil Outbreak files #1 and #2
Devil May Cry 3
Formula 1 2006 (fantastic racing game)
Colin Mcrae rally 2004
Dynasty warriors- any of them
Devil Kings
Onimusha 1
Onimusha 2
Onimusha 3
Manhunt
The Suffering
The Suffering ties that bind (note, if your not 18 you technically shouldnt play them)
Final Fantasy 10
Dirge of Cerberus FF7
Extermination
The Thing
Juiced (im serious, its great)
Hitman 2 Silent Assassin
Hitman Contracts
Hitman Blood Money
The Warriors (absolutly FANTASTIC)
