What is the secret to the Jump Rope mini-game?! I can only get 214!!:mad:

...I never got used to that game...it was always a patience game..and I never had the patience to do it...it really bugged the crap out of me...the largest jump I made was like 300-something..

Isn't the secret jump exactly at same time as you land? That's the only secret I know.

My personal best is 15. that game really does suck. it goes up to 1000.

I've only managed about 50, and I didn't see much point about it as I played through. It was one of those annoying sub games. I read someplace that it goes up to 1000, and was wondering who would be bored enough to keep on doing it for that long? I know I would hurl the Playstation out of the window if I was doing that, and I got to something like 850 and fecked up. AARRGGHH!!

the problem with the ropejump game is that it gets too hard after 200...or was it 300.....when they start to switch the speed of the spinning at random every 3-6, or so, jumps. anyway i've got about 212 as my record.

iv goten all 1000, u get something really good, but i cant remember what it was, and my memery card got erased so i cant look it up. but it is really really helpful, well it was to me, i play cards, and if it is a card and u dont like it, sorry.

hmm...For 1000 jumps you get the 'King Of Jump Rope' key item. I doubt there is any real use for it.

uhhhh i have really low patience for somethings and this is one of them i could only go about to.........................23 :eye: afterwards my thumb starts to loose rythm and screws it up :D

My auntie Rachel got 250 jumps, but she's trying to get a 150% complete game so i'll remind her to do this...


also, she said the key was to turn the volume up and press x when you hear vivi/eiko's feet hit the ground...

The Four-Armed Man you first meet in Alexandria on disc 1 gives you a Treasure Hunter Rank from disc 3 onwards when you meet him in Daguerreo. The more key items you have, the closer you get to getting the best treasure hunter rank. The King Of Jump Rope helps contribute to getting this award, although it is not vital.

My top score in the game is about 205. I've never got the key item myself, but I've had the S-Rank Medal from the four-armed man.

Well, my best on it was..........22..........REAL GOOD huh? I hate that game....I've only tried with Vivi, I never tried with Eiko....and I'm not sure I'm going to anyways.

<font color=red face="comic sans ms">You can play the jump rope game when running around Alexandria as Vivi on disc 1. It is on the same screen as the ticket booth. Go left and up from the ticket booth and you will see a girl skipping. Talk to her and Vivi can play the game. :)

You can also play the game on disc 3 if you go to Alexandria; this time the girls are in the chapel (where Kupo is). If Vivi or Eiko are in your party, either of them can play the game then. :)

I've play that litlle game but it is to boring

i only got up to about 23 or something but if u jump all the way to the end (like i dont know what the end number is lol) u r ment to get the alexandria card.

hmmmm i never got that far in the jump roping thing.... i got the alexandria card the easy way...:p

i beat the entire game before, but i'm starting over now...
i forget though, can you get a chance to take the jump rope challenge and the hippaul race challenge after you've beaten the game? (-disc four)
because i wan't to be able to get the key items that you get from both mini games, yet, i don't want to waste my time because i'm trying to get the excalibur II when i have to beat the game again under 12 hours!!!
(i really want everything there is to get in the game)

...i was ONLY like 55 jumps away (i have no idea what happened) IT'S SO HARD TRYING TO NOT BLINK!!!
i try desparately to keep some sort of rythym with even my body and i cite some lyrics everytime he lands in synchronized fashion with the "thud" of his boots because i blast the FF sounds all over the house, just to stay focused on the landing part (and this works too) and i make it really far...
-but my friends look at me strange and say that i'm obsessive when i take it as far as to dance to my own video game.

hey its not obsessive until you yell, "Kupo!" everytime you think about ff, or dig for dead peppers in your yard.....;)

Theres really only one way to do it, through perfect timing and emmence patience. I got a grand record of 5432!!!!!!!

I only got 49 in my first game. My second game I got 987!

The secret is to tap X as soon as you hit the floor. For the first 20 hit it slowly and get faster every 20 jumps.

My personal best was like 60. It was like my third time playing it in which I got that score and I was soo happy. :D Basically I think the mini-game is crap. I usually just skip it each time I play. It's like the thunder plains mini-game in FFX, you need alot of skill to do it.

My personal best is 28.... I don;t have patience I guess.

DameonKuujintaro, if you still need your question answered I know that you can't play the Hippal race mini game in disc 4. but I think still can play jump rope.
