OK simple question: what's the worst monster to run into, apart from the bosses and Ultima/Omega

I'd vote Malboro, if you've ever seen it's bad breath attack, you know why...

I voted for Malboro... It really pissed me off. I'ts really hard to win it without Odin's help. My opinion.
Other hard monster to me was Ruby dragon. (the harder one... I think there is 2 kinds of them).

I found the marlboro harder than most bosses, but all the others on the list were fairly easy.

Two other fairly hard non-boss monsters were the Einoyle and Ochu.

None of them were that hard, Marlboro's 'Bad Breath' attack can be countered with pain and some other 'non' pain magics in your status defense.

Malboro is the worst. Hmmmmmm, somebody thinks they're top stuff huh? Well, i bet before they were "good" the Malboro was annoying.

<font color=red face="comic sans ms">I'd say Malboro and Ruby Dragon, although neither are really a problem once you have a good junction. They are particularly hard on the Island Closest To Hell as all enemies there are level 100, and if you go there at low levels you might not be prepared. You need a high Vitality in order to survive Breath at high levels (if your Vitality is too low it causes 9999HP damage).

As for Malboros, their status changes are annoying, but once you have St-Defx4-J, there is no problem; just put Pain, Berserk, Confuse and Break on status defence and you shouldn't really have any problem at all. ;)

Not that I'm egotistical or anything (FAR from it..), but I don't think any of these guys are a problem if you take enough time to train, which is what I do with every FF. I know, for those of you who're unpatient it's hell, but it really pays off.

Malboro. Stupid, annoying, malformed Little Shop of Horrors plant thing.

Marlboro ofcourse, Since he's the only one which can get me into serious troubles if I'm not prepared for him. Usually I go out hunting him on hell and being fully prepared ofcourse ^_^ and he still wins sometimes ;_;
Ruby Dragon can be dangerous with a low vit and low Hp, but that can easily be solved.

hey, i did the voice over for that plant in a school play, so watch it, lol ;)

i'd pick marlboro.

but also Behemoth. he took ages to kill. but, then again, i never train, and do the bare minumum to win every FF, so i'm pretty crappy

Right, absolutely. You (Junction 100 death to ST-Def) beat (Aura) Omega (Meltdown) Weapon (Megalixir) like (Aura) he (Renzokuken) was (Renzokuken) the (Aura) easiest (Eden) thing (Rebirth Flame) in (Megalixir) the (Aura) game (The End).

malboro is hard if u dont have the right stuff
pain on ur status def
and confuse on ur status def (if u have sat def x2)
then its easy

blue dragone is simple put death to ur elemental attack and hes down in 1 (if u have 100 deaths)

if u can take breath by ruby dragon their easy just use a meltdown the attack or use doom train

Omega is not that hard if u have the know how

Okay, yeah, Omega isn't too hard, assuming that you're using Hero or Holy War. But if aren't, fighting him can be a real pain. You gotta time what you're doing just right or he can totally kick you with Terra Break or all of this other garbage that he pulls. Even if you are using Heroes and Holy Wars, you still have to be careful because even then if you're paying attention the invicibility will wear off and then he'll hit you with something right at the wrong time.

Nothing Scares me, the only thing that bad breath causes to me is Beserk and that helps me because all I have to do is sit there and watch the Marlboro die.......Omega would be the scariest if you didn't use a cheap strategy which i will eventually beat him with out using any invincibility.

I hated Malboros. Bad breath was really annoying. I always ran away from them. *raises hand* I'm a chicken!

I'd Malboro too. This monster is the most annoying enemy.
It can be considered as a mini-boss too lol :D

Malboros, definitely. I've never defeated a malboro without Odin.

I found Malboro horrible. Other ones that were a little too tough to beat were Elnoyle and Omega. But Omega didn't really scare me...it just took too long to y'know, beat him. ;D

Marlboro is the hardest. Its harder than the Omega Weapon in my opinion since Omega Weapon I beat in my sleep, and I still kill Marlboros like nothing. FF8 is so easy.

Oh yeah, Ruby Dragons breath attack suck.
