I'm generally pretty easily pleased with a Final Fantasy Game. I'm dedicated to the storylines and the gameplay and I buy the games from Square Enix when they come out. But FFX-2 was the only one that disappointed me.

It's not because I didn't enjoy the storyline, not at all. I liked that Yuna was so hellbent on finding Tidus, and I liked that Rikku was there to help her and that everything was connected like a big spider web and that all this crazy stuff was happening.

But the costumes? This is the first Final Fantasy game I've played (I've only played 7-12, barring 11) where it was a female lead, and even a predominantly all female cast. That's exciting! Yay! But...they put them in bikini's...and all the changing dress spheres? I felt t was like barbies, but I liked the versatility. Still, I miss the old specializations, and my clothes don't give me super abilities...

Any thoughts?

I'm not going to strain my wrists over this thread. If you want to experience classic final fantasies then I would suggest you play I-VI, however it seems like Barbie-dolls are more your bag.

Draven, I didn't want a Ken to go with my Barbie, I didn't want a Barbie in the first place. I like the FFX-2 girls, and in my opinion it took away from their prowess as female leads to just wrap some string around their privates and call it good. Ken has nothing to do with my enjoyment of the game and I didn't need a Ken in my party or elsewhere.

Could you have missed my point more? I wasn't complaining because FFX-2 wasn't a classic (in my opinion and apparently not in anyone else's). I was saying that of the FF I've played, this was the only one with female leads and it was disappointing the creators felt they needed to be helped along by revealing clothing.

So next time you feel like not stressing over a thread, just don't post. Find something that your actually interested in posting over.

No, i'm just not a close minded fool that thinks FF costumes should be the same for every game. They have more light-hearted and casual out-fits because it fits with the atmosphere of the game.

Lighthearted? Most of them were sleazy, but whatever. I'll agree to disagree with you.

And someone asked if I wanted a Ken, so I was answering.

I liked the game. Jesus, all I wanted to know from other people was if the whole reason they played was for the skimpy costumes, or if they also liked the storyline.

i didnt like the outfits 30% cause they were whorish (most people just say im not the demographic so the game wasnt made for me anyway) and 70% cause they were a little stupid in my opinion in comparison to ffx and even ffvIII i think that the dresspheres were there because the party was three girls and that you couldn't do much in the way of jobs so they had to do something. as for the story...well thats for another thread right.

Being the fact that they are animated girls, I can say with certainty that the majority of gamers who purchased or rented it didn't think "OMFG underage Rikku porn awesome!", however horny girlfriend-less sixteen year-old nerdies may get a sexual kink out of it idk. In case the whole basis of your opening question was circumfranced around the idea that people *might* enjoy playing the game merely to change in and out of different costumes? They ARE called "dress-spheres" after all. Oh and the edit button holds so many possibilities. If this was your first post well...way to introduce yourself. You post a retarded question and when you get feedback you get all anal about it, wowzers. If you don't like others' opinions then don't post retarded questions.

Thank you guys, and I'm sorry I don't understand how this whole thing works yet. I posted my question because I thought it would be interesting to hear other people's takes on the whole thing. Maybe it was a silly question, but I asked it because it was something that stuck out to me. I'm sorry if people got irritated with me but I got irritated with the rude responses I got. So thank you, Tamarivosa. I do like feedback I just don't like being given feedback that says "I've got better things to do."

I don't think a lot of shriners get what you meant, so when the "cunty" replies come flowing it's because they feel it is a retarded question being posted. I've had to step away from it to forget some of the most irritating things before going through it a second time for the perfect ending.

The idea that it was kind of a kiddy-sailormoon esque type of game didn't sit too well with me. I'm all for female leads, but somehow it just didn't shine as brightly as the last. I didn't really think number X was too fantastic either to be honest. A good play, worth trying, but not spectacular.

yeah same here im all for rikku/tidus and I think the only reason everyone cared for yuna so much was because she was gonna die for spira. What the hell are you talking about. He fell in love with Yuna way before he learned she was gonna die for Spira.

Tidus did actually fall hard for Yuna, but it felt like to me that Rikku did have a little crush on Tidus. Just the way she looked out for him and was sort of the one always in "cahoots" with Tidus. She's also the only one actively going to look for him just as hard as Yuna out of all the FFX character who just sort of moved on.

I think personality wise Tidus and Rikku were a better fit. But I suppose that's why I'm not a match maker with a zillion dollars at Square Enix. But Tidus definitely loved Yuna long before he knew what it meant to be the summoner.

But yeah, not my favorite couple ever.

They sooo need to make an X-3, and patch all the "errors" up. X-3 should have the following:

1.) More Tidus/Yuna moments
2.) Closure with Yuna/Seymour
3.) The 3 'groups' in Spira should be disbanded.
4.) Yuna should quit her job as a Sphere Hunter...
5.) Better damn theme songs! Like Suteki Da Ne... That song is one you can't go wrong with.

I'd buy an X-3. I'm with you on the three different Spira factions. They need to settle all this political nonsense immediately, especially since the leaders are all friends, and come up with a single system of government that doesn't exclude any group. I don't care what Yuna does as long as she stops singing. And something not so close to Spice Girls would be nice.

But I thought Seymour was pretty much done for as the psycho ex-husband, and I'd be surprised if they brought him back into the storyline. He sort of served his purpose as the representation of how sick Yevon really was, and when they overcame Seymour they overcame Yevon. Well, he and Yunalesca. It's been a while since I played X and X-2. What did you think still needed telling as far as Seymour?

The first time I played FFX-2, I had actually believed that there will be male characters. I even believed that the Crimson Squad trio can be recruited, if not Shuyin as well. Kimahri was still around as elder of their Ronso mountain. Wakka and Lulu were in Besaid. Unfortunately, none of them can be recruited.
