Finding a ROM of this game was nigh impossible, let alone finding a soundtrack rip. Fortunately someone hooked me up, and someone else managed to rip this. I also doubt many people will be interested in this, but at least it'll come up on searches for anyone who is :).

Game: NTSC-J Battle Bugs (Batoru Bagusu / バトルバグス)
Catalog no.: SLPS-00991
Developer: Manning
Release Date: 1997
Composer: Soyo Oka (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Soyo_Oka) (Super Mario Kart, Pilotwings, et al.)

All the tracks are untitled as I know nothing about the game. Any help there would be great. Also, track 01 is missing as it's the data track. Also important to note is that this is NOT the same as the DOS version by Sierra in 1993. That has a different soundtrack too.

(apparently I am not supposed to use megaupload... but I didn't upload this especially for ffshrine. Maybe someone can upload this elsewhere if it does go down.. my appleseed upload from 5 months ago still works and that's on megaupload. Anyway, putting it in 'code' tags should help.)

Enjoy.

Hi, I'm a huge fan of Soyo Oka's music on the SNES. I really want to hear this too but the link no longer works. :-(

Anyone know of an alternative, or could someone that has it re-host it?

Thanks. =)

Good thing I've got e-mail notification enabled, eh? ;) It's only a 23MB upload so it's no big deal:

Actually it's fortunate that I'm reuploading it. I found the digital audio tracks in the ROM (as opposed to just ripping it redbook style), and they had some useful file names, so the mp3s do at least have somewhat reasonable track names now. The original files also had a lot of pops and clicks that I managed to remove (well, for the most part). That may not have been done in the previous rip.

I'm also a big fan of hers, hence why I went to ridiculous lengths to get this music :D I was a little disappointed in this soundtrack at first, but I've warmed to it.

Another release of hers I'm interested in getting is this - http://www.vgmdb.net/db/albums.php?id=8225 - I found a Winny / Share page for it, but I'm not familiar with those programs. Any help? Maybe I could make a separate thread sometime...

Wow, cheers for re-hosing it Goniochromism.
Love it!

I wish she hadn't left Nintendo.

Yeah she needs to do more soundtracks for sure. I'd love to hear more of her music in any form it takes, but I think I've heard all her game stuff now (unless she composed for Lagnacure... but I think she only did SFX for that).

Anyone still have this around?

Yes! OP here, over a decade later. :)

This link will eventually expire again so do grab it while it's hot. Ideally, someone here might like to upload it somewhere more permanent.

EDIT: A couple of things I thought I should mention. This is redbook audio from the game, but there may also be sequenced audio that is not included here. The game may not have any sequenced audio, but I don't know if anybody has checked, so it might be wise to consider this incomplete until we know otherwise.
Also, this might be a better image to keep for album art than the one in the zip (my bad)

You're the best, thank you! And a decade, wow... it's a little surreal to think how much time has passed, and how things feel like they haven't changed much at all. This is awesome, thank you again. :)
