I know this is a waste of space, but I just have to ask: Are these songs part of a soundtrack or what? I have never heard of it before, but on the download page to this site, it doesn't state game rip.

Thanks.

Yes. The remixes in this album are used for any new Street Fighter 2 re-release, such as Street Fighter Collection, Capcom Classics, Street Fighter Anniversary, ect... Although I have reason to believe they are the rips from Street Fighter Collection 2 for PSOne, as they are shorter than standard loops of Capcom music. The complete files of the remixes, along with the original CPSI and super CPSII music was released in an Anniversary 6 disk boxset.

An aniversary six disc boxset? I've look around on GMROnline and Chudahs Corner, neither of them mentioning anything like that under "Capcom" or "Street Fighter". Closest thing I could find are the Capcom Game Music Legend series. Usually GMROnline is good at mentioning music discs that come with games, but like I said, I can't find squat on this. Thanks for the information, though.

Thanks for the link, but homie don't play that.

I was actually lookin' for the soundtrack, which there doesn't seem to be one, or the game from which to rip the audio files from myself. Of course, if it's simple enough, I mean. At least I found the source to the mp3s I found here. My best is probably obtaining the PS version of Capcom Generations 5 since I've tried ripping audio from SS games before and it was a pain. PS2 games are probably harder to rip.

I fail to see the dilemma. The link I posted would lead you to the soundtrack. You'll forgive me if I don't know what the problem is. Of the soundtrack, disks 1 and 2 are the remixes which have been used for the games previously mentioned.

It's just that I like to own the music I have, so I think if it's possible, I'd rather just buy the game and rip the music myself.

That's logical. I used to be like that until the store I bought from stopped shipping CDs due to low sales. It was mostly anime scores, but sadly I have not been able to continue collecting ... mainly because eastern vgm is so much better than western music, in my opinion, and so much harder to come by. (and no, I don't like to order things online. I'll see if a store can import for me)

It's also logical to download music if you can enjoy the music as is. Sometimes I wish I was more like that, but I'm probably OC(D). At any rate, the SF2 CG Remix isn't an actual audio CD, so there's no need for me to look for it unless it's playable on a regular CD player. Only SF soundtrack I'm missing is that hard-to-find Street Fighter EX 2 Original Soundtrack.

Check this post for Street Fighter Anniversary Edition.

Anniversary was released years after Generations, and that's why the themes aren't there.

I think I heard these themes when I was playing Onimusha: Dawn of Dreams with the SF costumes on the characters.
