Whose Limit Breaks were your favorites?

I liked Selphie's Slot. It was so cool just looking for a great spell to cast.

zells, just because the damage would be massive every time you use it. everyone else was a chance. although wishing star was always fun to watch

Squall`s Renzokuken, cuz I always say "Squally is my hero and he is the strongest one!"... Actually I like the limit not because of Squall :D
And Laguna`s Desperado, because it saved me from death several times and because I love shooting and exploding things.... And the name sounds cool :D

Blue Magic for the win. Shockwave Pulsar was fun to collect and learn, not to mention Degenerator being a best friend for leveling up, and lets not forget Mighty Guard...

I like how a 300 pound man can jump so high :P.

Selphies slot was helpful if you got good spells out of it quickly.

I was a fan of Irvine's Shot, which was generally fairly easy to use and could get in some good damage. And good ammo wasn't that hard to come by if you refined it.

Oh, and yes, Desperado, fun stuff, especially since you get a limited opportunity to use it.


And Quistie's Degenerator --- used that a lot.

I voted for Zell's Duel, because it was engaging and made battles fun. I also voted for Selphie's Slots, only because you could get any spell. I found it fun to use because there was a strategic elements to it - you could keep trying for The End and almost die, or you could settle for Flare or Thundaga.

I never used Irvine's Shot. I thought refining your cards and other items into expendable bullets was cheap, so I never had any bullets for him.

No, they're called Limits, though some walkthroughs based on the Japanese version still refer to them as "Desperation moves." (You also often see Squall's Lionheart referred to as "End of Heart" in those documents.) On the other hand, though, I don't think the "Break" term is actually used in this game. They're just "Limits."

I always liked Quistis' Blue Magic. I do use Rinoa's and Squall's the most, though.

Irvine's Quick Shot along with a healthy 255 STR is dangerous. Squall's Renzokuken finished off with Lionheart and Zell's limit (with a very high STR) combination of <- -> then O X (or however that is) persistantly instead of following the 'higher' damage commands in the allocated time slot.

I liked Shot, Renzokuken, and Rinoa's Limit Break...lol Anal Cannon...I never saw Laguna, Kiros, or Wards Limit Break...

Blue magic by Quistis is my fav to use and collect, although I did enjoy squalls with the trigger and the final one where it caused 9999 with ever hit was awesome, but I didnt enjoy that you couldnt choose which one you could use though.

My favorites were Squalls Renzokuken, Rinoas Angelo, Quistis' Blue Magic, Lagunas Desperado, Kiros' Blood Pain, and Wards Massive Anchor.

Selphie definetly! Because those multiple spells totally saves your butt when you really need a certain spell. AND never to forget the undescriable "The End" spell! That spell rocks! Does anyone know what it symbolizes?

I once was going through Selphie's slots, looking for "The End" and I was so intent on searching through them that I skipped straight past it

I would say Selphie's...but the many times I've skipped The End or Meteor, I will say The Lionheart limit, or Rinoa's Angel Wing.

As for the Rinoa = Ultimecia theories, try google, they have some good ones, but it always ends in "I guess we'll never really know."

I enjoyed Squall's Lionheart most, the one that the light pierced through the sky and the heavens then slamming it down on the foes. It was as if one giant ray of judgment on the enemy.

I just love slot with The End. Even if it didn't work, I simply loved watching it.
Next would be Desperado. How often did I want to throw a granade at someone only to shoot LOTS of ammo later xD
As for the Duel, it was quite an interesting idea to borrow a little something from fighting games.
And last, but not least is Renzokuken. The attack always looked cool. Not to mention those overkilling finishing strikes like Lionheart ;)

Not only is it not Lionheart, but in my opinion it's the most annoying Limit Special in the game. It takes up way too much time to animate for an attack that maxes at 9999. Every time it activates, I cringe.

That's how I am too. The only ones I don't mind waiting for is Rough Divide (does 9999 for me but it's a quickie) and Lionheart (because it's a multi-hit limit).

And because I don't remember if I posted in hear, I'm going to say I like Ward's limit. I can't remember the name, but I lol every time I see him jump into the air. I dunno. I just think seeing a man his size jumping that high is hilarious.

Ward's limit is "Massive Anchor," IIRC.

Blasting Zone is the name, and yes, it is a waste of time.
As is Rough Divide..
And Fated Circle is all but a waste as well.
Lionheart makes up for it though.

We all know Lionheart is one of the best limits in the game (if not the best), but when it comes to the animation of the rest of his limits, Rough Divide is the shortest that also maxes out at 9999. So as it being a waste of time (it only lasts around 7 seconds), I don't really see how.

Well good point there, might as well stack on 9999 to the other damage haha.

First goes to Renzokuken particualrly Lionheart which is badass. Then I will say Degenerator. My favs and the most useful.
