IMHO, The Living Daylights is the best soundtrack of them all! It�s my favorite movie of the series, and I think John Barry�s last work for the series is his best! But I do love all the soundtracks (even Serra�s "Goldeneye", wich is considered the worst of them all, because it didn�t sounded "Bondish" as the others), with the exception of Dr. No, composed by Monty Norman. It�s just awful, it never worked for me. Some honourable mentions, for me, are the scores from Thunderball and On Her Majesty�s Secret Service

Well, I won�t do nothing with EON soundtrack... I already uploaded 14 tracks wich I believe were the ones that were avaliable on a website in 2004. I tried to rip the music from the PS2 game, but I�ve failed miserably. So, if you want to share with us this "as complete as possible" release, then go for it!!

What music you have listened coming fuzzy on the rear speakers? The only music I made some changes or mixing on my sound editor were 007 Racing, The African Rundown music from the Casino Royale OST, Tomorrow Never Dies Complete Soundtrack, Goldeneye N64 Complete Soundtrack, and James Bond: The Duel. And they were all in 2 channel stereo, so I don�t know what you mean by that

I don't think the moderator understands that the soundtrack is copyright protected if the composer actually released a soundtrack that is out on the market at this moment, and to my knowledge, EA has not yet put out a 007 soundtrack, since they do not acquire the 007 liscence, Activision has the rights now!

Yeah, I noticed early this morning your post on the forum with the link of the soundtrack removed (it looks like it has been buried as well... with the older posts as if it were new, like the last post by Jeff Tymoschuck... strange!). But, you know, EON soundtrack were originally avaliable for sale on a site... So the moderators think that is forbidden to share something for free when some people paid for this. And they do this to avoid any sue from EON productions, EA, EMI (wich holds the James Bond theme royalties) and even Monty Norman! The best thing you can do to share the soundtrack with these people is do the same I did on commanderbond.net forum: Just post the links for the soundtracks that�s really avaliable for free (Nightfire, Goldeneye, and the others in Galbadia Hotel, for example) as well as the game audio rips (I don�t see any problem of posting that), and, for the soundtracks that were on sale, just say "Hey Guys, I got the link for this soundtrack, but I can�t post it here. Send me a PM that I will reply with this link to you!". Keeping private, it will avoid a lot of problems. Just look at this topic, where I did the things I mentioned before:

Oops sorry about that, from now on, I will mention "submitted by: 00_Agent", whenever I link the soundtracks. Yeah, I remember now, Everything or Nothing, the soundtrack was available on rhapsody when the game came out. Unfortunately, it's only available for the United States.

Remember how I mentionned that the soundtrack for Goldeneye: Rogue Agent was missing a lot of songs. Well during the summer, I wanted to rip the music and create the missing songs but it seemed a lot more complicated than I expected. First of all, I plug the white/red cable from the back of the console into a "Y" audio adapter, which goes into the "line in" of my sound card in my computer. I used a program called "Goldwave" which helped me with the editing of the music.

My problem is that I've only been able to rip the multiplayer music, which I am yet to be done since they are randomised. As for the single player, the music will change after each checkpoint and the beat is louder when you are in intense action. So I am wondering how do you record music that is, let's say "not linear", because it seems to be much easier just to ask the composer to buy the music, which I've tried with this game, however it was impossible to contact Paul Oakenfold since EA wouldn't give me his e-mail address.

I wasn't aware of the commanderbond.net website, I should check it out sometimes.

p.s. Is it ok if I send you a copy of a song that I ripped for goldeneye's multiplayer to see if the quality is fine? Is your method of ripping music different? If yes, how do you do it? Thanx.

Well, you don�t need to credit me for these links, because all the proper credits I put on the soundtracks that I ripped. I was just kidding, really! And about the rippings that I did, there were other ways to get the music off the game. With 007 Racing, for example, the tracks were in Red Book format (just like a normal cd-audio), so it was easy to get the music. With Goldeneye, some great guys did a usf rip, wich is get the music off the code of the ROM, so I edited and remastered it to mp3. TWINE is the same case, I�m just finishing it.
I am a complete noob on ripping music from PS2. I remember that I tried to rip EON soundtrack, but it was a disaster. If you are not a programmer, the only way to get the music is this way you did: plugin the line-in, record, etc etc.
I can�t see any problem of you ripping the music this way, even "not linear", because From Russia With Love game audio is on this way too (we have a great suspense track and suddenly, it goes to James Bond theme... I think everybody thought "wtf?"
But anyway, there�s already a DVDdrip from Goldeneye:RA on Soulseek. The only problem is that I think it will never download! But if you still want to rip, go ahead and send me your music, to 00agente at gmail.com!

John Altman was the original composer of the piece, if I recall.

Yeah, it is a little sped-up, comparing with the original recording, but it is all the same. Nic Raine did several albums re-arranging the Bond Themes and scores with the City Of Prague Orchestra. I just have one album containing some themes (that was uploaded here on this forum by Balboa007), but other albums with re-arrangements of the score of the movies I am still looking for. Nic Raine became involved with Bond as a conductor for John Barry in A View To A Kill and The Living Daylights. In Goldeneye, the original composer was Eric Serra, and John Altman was the conductor of the symphonic parts of the score (he works a lot with Serra, since he conducted the scores for Leon, The Fifth Element and another movies with the score composed By Serra). Eric Serra did compose the score for the tank chase scene, but it was rejected by the producers (just download the soundtrack and listen to track 10. I think you'll get the answer to that). So they got Altman to do this, and it feels great on the scene (Serra's intended score was good, too; I made a experimental video with it and it fits the scene greatly). I hope I've been clear enough to answer your questions, and sorry about the big post here!

TWINE Theme song? Where it plays on the game? And the music for Agent Under Fire is the same as the TWINE PSX intro, but it plays a little longer. EA didn�t release this oficially, it�s just possible to do rip, with the sound effects, ok?

I really wish they would release John Altmans recordings from GoldenEye. My collection won't feel complete until I get that Tank Drive theme from the movie.

On the remastered edition of Goldeneye, the guy who was the head of the project, Lucas Kendall, told that they intended to include this cue on the CD of the soundtrack, but they could�t because they had a limited budget and it was on some kind of digital recording that required a expensive equipment to restore. Well, it�s just a question of time (and money) to get this music avaliable!

There are some cases that I used some programs that extracted the audio of the DVD, but most of it, I just play the dvd and record it, using some audio editor! I can do the Gunbarrel of the TWINE, just wait a little!

This was the best I could do, and I don�t think is there any real "instrumental only" version of the music (unless you�re talking about the ones with rearrangement, reorquestrated, etc), so, be glad with what you have. But, if you find a version cleaner as mine, please post it here!

arukAdo, there isn't a real instrumental version of GoldenEye available. To my knowledge there is not a promo or bootleg of the GoldenEye score in existence.
Rafael did a good job on this one, so this is as close as your going to get. And really the Eric Serra score was a disappointment compared to the efforts made by John Barry and David Arnold in the Bond film franchise.

Slightly OT, but because I am a huge James Bond AND Star Trek fan I was wondering if a rip of the score to the "Star Trek: Deep Space Nine" episode "Our Man Bashir" is possible? =)

It is the one in which Dr. Bashir pretends to a 60's spy in a holosuite programme. It is a ripoff of Bond for sure, and the music is very Bondish. ;-)

The only tracks that is officialy avaliable is Eric Serra's version of A Pleasant Drive in St. Petersburg, and The Scale to Hell. I probably told you about the videos I made using these cues, rescoring the scenes they were intended for.

There's already a "complete" soundtrack for Moonraker... I didn't liked so much of that rip, but I don't think it could be better than that =) ! I will post that later!
I'm gonna take a break for a while, and I will see if I can do something for TSWLM, but expect to hear all the SFX of the scene, because the 5.1 mix of this movie sounds more of a 2.0

00_Agent, before I ask a favor of you, I just wanted to say, amazing job of getting the AUF stuff! It seems impossible to find that anywhere else! Question though, is it possible if you could rip the tank part of the Streets of Bucharest music, all parts preferably. It would be great! Great job with all of the soundtracks though, some of mine needed completion!

That would be tough, because I don't have the game (yet) so it would be a little difficult to get that for you. But there are some other rips of this game on the Internet, and I will ask some help for the guy who have it, just wait for a while =)

That should be an interesting one. The official OST is quite devoid of a lot of content, but some of it is classical music.

Congratulations for that.
At the moment I am downloading MOONRAKER EXPANDED - I too knew that a
expanded version of this existed but was unable to find it.
So a big thanks for uploading this - even if qualitywise not perfect it is still
emminent - especially as it is confirmed that the original Soundtrack masters
recorded by John Barry in Paris are lost. So an official expanded or complete
Soundtrack is as good as impossible.

I think that everything that was "rejected" was pretty much covered in this thread. There is one or two music missing (like Alice Cooper�s The Man With the Golden Gun), but the rest is just music that the producers even didn�t listened to, I supose.

Apparently The Beach Boys were interested in doing a theme for You Only Live Twice and eventually got rejected but what came out of it was the song 'Pet Sounds' on the album of the same name.

Also the Pet Shop Boys were asked to produce a title track for 'The Living Daylights' but due to a disagreement over whether they could do the entire soundtrack got rejected. The song that came from it was 'This Must Be The Place I Waited Years To Leave' on their album Behavior.

Thanks for the music, but its not the tracks I'm looking for. The ones I've list are in the game and their composed by Sean Callery, not Jeff Tymoschuk but some of the music was done by him. Chopper Chase is not from the game and it had more instrmental than techo. It goes the same with New Orlean's City Pursuit and it had more of the Sean Callery sound to it.

Thanks man. How did you rip the unreleased Callery tracks? I borrowed a pal version of the ps2 and could only drop the sfx as far as 25%, so I left it. Also, I couldnt convert the mus and bnk files.
