i have never heard that melody before.

maybe they're using the word classical as meaning ''old-skool'' style beat boxing.

i dunno.

hmm, it sounds very familiar to me, maybe of a bbc advert or something.

Hi,
The melody is the Dies Irae - a Latin hymn about the Day of Judgement. It's been used to many times, by classical composers, film composers, in games, in pop, in rap even, you name it.
I'll see if I can fish out a "pure" version for you. ;)

It sounds like the typical generic "classical music" Melody/tune/sample that someone would add to their song...other then that, it's not any of the dies irae from the requiems that I have every heard..

I knew it! Only a rapper or Dj would come up with such a generic tune.

If by rapper or DJ you meant Hector Berlioz, you are correct.

Like dannyfrench said, it's the Dies Irae from the Catholic Requiem Mass, and it's used in lots of classical music. Berlioz didn't even compose it. Some church guy did probably over 1000 years ago. Berlioz was the first guy who had trombones play it, though.
